Default Rip Qualiry of Corolla 2015

As i previously shared my story of tank leakage.

Got GLi AT on 19 Nov now its been more than a month.

As I owned 2010 Corolla before so i can differentiate few things easily (Quality Wise).

    1. Biggest mistake, almost all the interior is colored black which attracts dush very much, Pakistani car should be made according to the envirnment.

    2. Top of the dashboard, this material gets scratches easily, as in my car there was a problem and got it fixed in warranty.

    3. Cloth on the hand rests of the doors also attracts dust.

    4. Interior plastic of doors feels like of a cheap quality.

    5. The plastic for cup holder and file holders at bottom of the doors is also of cheap quality.

    6. Horn cover feels ripped of already.

How can a company like toyota do such stuff.

Almost 80% price increase than previous shape and has decreased the quality by 100%.
    @ToyotaPak.

I got my tank replaced, i didnt claim for a new car. Dont think im posting this because I had some issue with toyota. They behaved very nicely to me. Company got it fixed in 1 working day.

Find my previous story about tank leakage here.

Your right but this shouldnt be expected from Toyota. I dont know why people are praising this model.

I think only the ones who haven't experienced the previous shape will like it.

It has just become a mindset now. People don't have much options in this country. Honda is expensive to maintain therefore people buy corolla as it is cheap and easy to maintain + chief reason is resale. People like me turn to JDM's as they at least have something to offer for the money we pay.

As far as this corolla is concerned, yes, it has many quality issues. The only corolla I liked and many will agree with me, was the 10th gen corolla. Specifically for me the 1.6 Altis. IMO it was better in every way then the new "grande". The new one is just not worth it.

Saw an accident of a all new corolla with a mehran, mehran looked stronger. It might be my assumption but u might put some light on the build quality. The accident was on islamabad highway. Saw both the cars parked on the side. Corolla's front bumper, lights, bonnet wre all done while mehran's back bumper and hatch was damaged but not to that xtent as compared to corolla.

You guys are aware that the local car companies pay under the table to keep the import law like it is today

Otherwise they would get out of business , for the price of Corolla you could easily get S-Class/7Series or any other car that is 10 times better from UK and other countries

Sadly all we have here are Suzuki, Toyota and Honda. Other choices are imports, that too are costly for us thanks to heavy duties and taxes.

The thing is, nobody could boycott these 3 crap companies, as no other reasonable option available. this is how they stay in game.

Valid point but what if we do boycott ? One at a time. I have migrated from PKDM to JDM from a long time. When they start to go bankrupt they will have to get reasonable in what they make otherwise goodbye.

They have faced lots of competition since the jdm cars started rolling in , but there is still a majority of people who would like a brand new car instead of a jdm. There are several factors that count like resale , parts availability , reliability and knowledge amongst local mechanics.

Right now , local car companies know they dont need buyers because the buyers come automatically reason being limited choice

Well said. Even look at Indian auto market. Cars are way cheaper than Pakistan (considering exchange rate) and they have got heck a lot of choices. Those cars are equipped with all safety features and addons which one would wish and still cheap.
