    Default Corrolla X 2003 - 1NZFE

    Hi All,

    I have a Corrolla X 2003 (Reg 2006/7) - it has done 90,000 MILES. (Karachi)

Q1 - Which engine oil you would recommend? The service guy used to put ZIC but I have forgotten its rating .. Please advise which engine oil shall i use for this car and mileage? Oil is changed after every 3 or 3.5K miles with Toyota original oil filter.

    Q2 - CVT OIL - which brand / rating?

Q3 - lately I have noticed the car seems to have dropped in performance / when accelerating - before it would just shoot but now it feels as if I have to exert force / pressure ? Any suggestions

Q4 - also I have noticed that when I press AC button - the car takes a slight load and slight change in engine sound?

Any other tips / suggestions you may have - will be really helpful / grateful.

Any experience with Toyota Defence and their level of service / prices? Would you recommend taking this car there for service / checkups?

For Q1 & 2: I have no idea about good brands in Pak.. they all fakes.. mostly...

Q3: get your car serviced if you haven't done lately... and perhaps a tune-up is required. Plus, maybe plugs or coils or some other stuff might need to be changed!

Q4: well, since your ride got 90k miles... I suggest start using synthetic oil (any good brand that is actually motor oil)... plus again need servicing and tune-ups!
if problem still persists, then get your AC serviced aswell...
    R.I.P BABRUS ABBAS QAISER....will miss u bro....i got a memories but not u....

1.5w30/10w30 if your cars engine doesn't reduce or burn oil
Secondly your car has a automatic transmission so you need ATF not CVTF
You can use Toyota T4 or Zic ATF

Hi skyline and FAHAD - thank you for your reply - but some one on these forums have mentioned that Engine 1NZFE uses / requires CVT OIL ?

Secondly I have noticed that the car engine is reducing oil and I cannot notice any leakage as well ? Which engine oil would you suggest in this case ?

your car has does not have CVT it has a normal 4 speed auto box so you need ATF
if your sure that your car reduces oil then try using a 10w40 oil
