Default Corolla 2015 GLi Average Problem.

I have drove it upto 3000 KM now it's GLI AT and on highways I get 11.3 or bellow fuel average.

I am not satisfied I think I should be getting more than this.

    * Also I need expert advise, should I put Mud Flaps or not? I have bought them but I think they aren't important to put on the car what do you guys say?

i think ur fuel average is perfect since its 1.3 a/t if its manual it can go above, my home car is also Gli a/t giving 9.5-10km/L within city drive only
About mud flap its upto u as i ve seen my drivers cleaning many times due to no mud flaps
My lugnuts require more torque than your Vtec can put out...

Thanks but I have seen screen shots of many people in this forum their GLi AT is giving average of 13.

For mud flaps only my driver is complaining too.

those are from PUnjab side as they usually drive on motorway and some within city, in KHi its mostly all the time traffic plus this car is heavy for 1.3 a/t, i have another corolla 1.6 a/t and it give better fuel average than 1.3 a/t

Mileage varies immensely with situation, do this thing on Sunday morning

    1. Reset meter
    2. Run 20-30 kms on shara e faisal or any other long empty road with speed breaker
    3. Note down the mileage, it should give you over 13 km/l, may be around 15-16 km/l.

So it all depends on the situation, in office hrs when road is jam packed car will give you different mileage. just to give you idea about mileage, my pkdm Wagon R does 14-15 km/l average with 100% ac on, that includes rush hour as well. On empty road same car will do 18-20 km/l.

On my previous rolls and 2015 once the average meter is fixed it hardly changes.

Well, my manual 1.3 Gli 2015 is giving me 11.8 kms/l in City without AC and the ODO reading is almost 3000 kms. No matter how many times I reset the meter, initially it would show around 14+, which would slowly fall to 12 and then to a static 11-12 range. Change the screen, enjoy your car.

I agree with Sarkar...when traffic is low and i'm maintaing a steady speed, then the gli auto gives me around 14Km/L, ive seen it jump to even 15Km/L and in traffic between 9 and 10. Depends on the situation and style of driving. heavy footed or light.

Mileage will improve after 2tune ups means 10k run.

No need to be worried, after 10k it will improve in comfort and fuel ave.

Accepting congratulations partially as I have not bought it,Company has given me
it was 8K driven with all plastics on when given to me,now its approaching 13K my running is much with daily average of around 150 Km.
Transportation Manager is not accepting petrol bills & encouraging to switch to cng asap (as per classical company policy )

Still all the best. 13 km/l is good ave, mine hungs around 12 km/l with 210/65/15 Michelin's .

150 km daily even though CNG will not be a much difference because of fuel price now days. Since its a company car you can drag it for CNG.

Average will get better after 10,000 kms same happened with my 1.3 manual for the first 5,000kms I was getting around 10-11kms on highway but after 5-10k kms it jumped to 15-16kms without any tuning don't know the reason may be coz of synthetic oil
