Default GLi 2010 - Long self starting

    Solution
My car takes long time to start, not half crank self starting. I have installed new original toyota spark plugs, fuel filter, new battery, oil and oil filter plus throttle body service. Can anyone let me know what can be the probable reason for this long self starting?

I am using Toyota genuine engine oil. Moreover, as far as fuel pressure is concerned, do you have any idea as to what should be the optimum fuel pressure as measured by a fuel pressure measuring gauge?

I reckon your car is perfectly fine, dnt waste money on fuel pumps or anythng else.
Switch to Synthetic oil if you are pouring in 20w50 Toyota genuine oil

I dint really refer to synthetic oil for problem solving mate.( there is no problem acc to me) The thing is that Toyota uses 20W50 oil for almost all of its customers unless you ask for the other available options. i just asked you to switch to a better grade plus cold cranking is better with synthetics.

@saboor73. Behaviour of self starting is not stable. At time it starts in one self, some ties in two selfs and sometimes in three selfs. Duration also varies.... from 2 seconds to 3 seconds per crank. A few times when the car picks up the self, the sound of the engine is not very energetic rather its a sound of (Pharrr Pharr for a few seconds and then its good).

@Xulfiqar. I changed all bits n bobs on the advice of a mechanic since the problem of starting is related to fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs, coils , injectors and battery. May be something else. What is your deduction?

@margallar. I did not understand your advice correctly. Do you want to say that I should leave the car for five minutes in engine idle running condition or just the "switched on" position where all the lights are ON in the dashboard?

your mechanic is not upto snuff in diagnosis work - find another one.

Long crank to start usually is attributed to a failing MAF or leaking intake manifold or even clogged injectors (junkyard injectors are a 50% chance to be good).

Fuel pressure leak down is also a culprit - which is easily tested with a fuel pressure tester - if your mechanic is honest to his trade he would have it, if he doesnt then find someone who has, Toyota do not give a test port in their fuel rails - you need to install a T adapter in between the fuel line - Make a tester with a junked fuel line connection union.
