Oh come on now. Crown victoria is a whole lot of different story.
Mobil 1 is available in 5w-50 and 0w-40
    I think that's an SN.
The main thing here was should I go for mobil 1 5w50 or not? coz considering the summers of Pakistan it will be good, but I don't know whether the engine would be able to handle this much thick oil at higher temperatures or not.
Liqui Moly that was mentioned above is also available in 5w-30 and Api SN grade.

anything Xw50 in the toyota 2ZR engine will cause useless fuel wastage as the oil would be really thick at operating temperature, usually a 30 hot oil has a 10.0 cst viscosity at 100C a 50 hot has a 16 cst viscosity at similar temps - this additional thickness causes drag on your engine - where you burn fuel for no use.

Toyota fill this engine with their 0W20 (made by idemitsu lubes) even in tropical areas where temperatures get to 40C in the day, the engine runs good with no issues.

Your best option as I posted above was a 5w30 API SN sold by any branded agency (not khaipya maal).

Im starting to think that you are of the oldschool mota haail acha hota hai thinking when you are adamant on using such heavy oils.

btw - why is crown vic different? - its an ancient OHV engine (qadeem zamanay ka) - and runs for spaceship mileages on 5w20.

toyota are selling an ILSAC-GF3 oil? - Im pretty sure if you picked the bottle up you will find the blender's name - remember that toyota themselves are not in the business of lubricants. Nearly all of their lubes are supplied by Exxon or Idemitsu.

Yes, toyota isn't making it themselves, but it's imported and manufactured in Japan.
Only two oils are available at Toyota that are imported. One is 10w-30 API SN, and the other one is 5w-30 API SL. I have opted the latter one because it is synthetic 😊

Sir definitely i am here learning things , and today i learned a lot the engine capacity has nothing to do with oil grades.
i would just say , if i learned it without sarcasm and pinning on what i said wrong (which i am not ashamed of because you have to start making mistakes to learn), that would have been great but Nevermind

I read somewhere that FORD uses 5w20 to just get the most milage out of their car , and is not recommended for extreme usage , for that it suggested using 5w30

I would like to ask that will 5w30 in toyota grande 1.8l be good for continous high speed usage with high rpms ? like 140-180+ ?

the toyota 2ZR is a ghareeb parwar economical shopping trolley engine - its installed in a cheaply built economical shopping trolley called corolla.

The entire concept of a corolla is "low cost running" thats why toyota spec a lowly down to earth 5w30 oil in it.

I can guarnatee you if toyota specced something like castrol 10W60 in it - their sales would drop like a ball of lead - around the globe.
    +1.

    so truly explained. .

brother with the traffic (severe traffic jams + heat + air conditioner with specially bigger condensor in PK corolla ) and road conditions in pakistan, higher viscosity just looks to me a more efficient option considering no major impact on milage.

considering the factors i would say a safer viscosity would be better also when the cost difference is not there between 5w-30 synthetic and 5w-50 synthetic.

I am using Petron + 10W-30, have done two oil changes and it is a nice oil, car is Altis 1.6 2015.

In my previous 1.3 2NZ-FE, I used TMO during warranty period and) then started using Shell semi synthetic (grey pack which is now HX-7) with original Toyota filters and for some years I used Guard filters also. Then for a couple of years I used Petromin 20W-50 and found it to be very good. When our trusted Petromin distributor shut the business I switched to Caltex Havoline Formula 10-30 and continued with original Toyota filters till I sold the car after exactly 10 years with 134,000 km on ODO and engine was in great nick, just like a new engine both in terms of looks, quietness and power. Fuel economy remained great throughout and I never had to take car to workshop for anything other than routine/periodic maintenance.

The gist of the the story is that whatever oil you use, if it is original ( I mean not repacked used oil ) nothing bad is going to happen to the engine.

My friend's office has around dozen Corollas which they use for field work across Pakistan mostly in rural areas and his fleet had been running more than 200,000 kms in good nick with Shell ka lal dabba and guard filter.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

    No brother.
It always depends upon the engine.
If engine can't take it than the answer would be no.
