This is from the Toyota manual.

Best engine oil for Toyota Corolla Altis Grande -1667274

So I guess if 0W20 is not available, we stick with 5W20 or 5W30 at best.

the toyota 0W20 that is packed by idemitsu is not your regular off the shelf 0w20, its actually close to a xw30 oil - but is very stiffly dosed with moly

Is this picture from the manual of Toyota's new model introduced in 2015 ?

i guess this picture is from the manual of some Japani car. Because PK Corolla recommends only two engine oils
    5w-30 & 10w-30
    SL or SM Grades.

Ow40 mobil-1 or that toyota oil I showed you which is 5w-30.
I have no issues if oil is expensive or not.
All I want is the best protection for my engine.
I?ve read your comments and you are very confuse about choice of perfect engine oil for your new corolla.
When you will get it, then read the oil page in the manual and just follow it.
This corolla is being launched here in PK, so they already recommend the best oil with respect to atmosphere, petrol quality, environment, etc.

PK Toyota recommends 5w-30 & 10w-30 oils with SL or SM grades. And every OEM use these words as a thread ?to use genuine Toyota oils for better engine protection? etc. Honda, Suzuki, all the OEM use the same words as threat to use Genuine OEM?s oil. Whereas the truth is, its important to follow the viscosity and recommended grades which OEM has suggested in the manual. Rest is upto us that we choose Total, Shell, LM, Mobil, Caltex, Redline, Volvoline, Sinopec, Qalco etc. whoever has available blends & grades as per recommendation.

for best protection of your engine, just choose what OEM has recommended viscosity & grades. And keep using them. But remember its not only Engine oil which is important for healthy engine, many other things too.

    @tintin.
If you would have read all of the comments than you shouldn't be confused enough to say all this.
Also, you don't know what Toyota is offering in their oils.
Last thing, you haven't been helpful. The discussion have been closed.
The right oil for grande is 5w-30 synthetic Toyota Imported oil from Japan.
