Default Corolla Finally getting Immobilizer, Shaitaan apko share kernay say rokay ga

    Hello,

Over the last decade almost 2 in 10 Toyota Corolla owner have faced attempts or the actual theft of a car parked outside the house.

In islamabad corolla gets stolen more thn motorbikes, there was this incident 5 months back where thieves cut down the HOUSE GATE and stole the brand new 2 days old Altis Grande.

ONLY BECAUSE THIS CAR NEVER HAD IMMOBILIZER......until now.

Reports are coming in that toyota will be offering immobilizer in corolla from now on.

The only reason i had to buy Aspire 1.5 Prosmatec (for Parents) was that people in our community have lost corolla even before they got their first oil change.

so glad that a deal has been made between Car lifting mafia-Insurance Company & Toyota Indus. (LOL)

PLEASE SHARE THIS NEWS, CUZ SHAITAAN APKO SHARE KERNAY SAY ROKAY GA. :p

The 1.6 Altis is not actually an Altis. It is a 1.6 GLi Auto (exactly like in 10th Gen Corolla) with additional Alloy rims in case of 11th Gen.

There have been revisions before without any increase in benefits. I just hope indus announces it soon enough to make decision making quicker for consumers.

I have booked Altis 1.8 auto at the price of 22.05. Previously it was at 21.65

All the features are confirmed by the dealerships and IMC as well. Just call them.
climate control and auto retractable mirrors will be given in Grande only.

IMC should issue a recall for all models provided without immobilizer and install one in them for free. Otherwise it would be unfair to the existing owners.

You're right but IMC doesn't really care about their older customers' cars if they get stolen(in fact, they'd be glad hoping to get another order to replace the car that just got stolen) and if you say free, IMC would be like in your dreams pal.

I highly doubt IMC providing proper immobilizers embedded with ECU of car, because doing so is just like "Car theft and insurance mafia kay pait pay laat marna", which IMC won't be doing any how. Who knows it's only a simple after market security system, labelled immobilizer by IMC. One can expect all non-sense from them Wait and watch seems to be the best bet right now.

Insurance is still better even with immobiliser. Your 2.0- 2.5 million plus asset is constantly at the risk of accidents, thefts and snatching and with just some 4,000-5,000 rs per month insurance yous losses (God forbids) are covered.

As the immobilizer will be available soon and many incidents of tracker causing the engine stall, steeering jam and battery drain. Isn't it wise to go for a tracker less insurance option.

The vehicle wiring remains uncut in case of no immobilizer.

I did not get tracker despite insistence by insurance company as one of my friend who had it in his 10th Gen Corolla had very bad experience with it and many a times his car was jammed despite anti jam device as VIP or embassy vehicles drove past him.

Both my 2013 Mehro and Altis 1.6 2015 have not a single wire cut so far. Alhamdolillah. Not a single panel pulled out for anything.

Which insurance is good with competitive rates? Of course no tracker. These days a 2 million car is covered roughly between 75 to 80 k

Although 3% is the rate i have gotten for all my cars (a few Civics, Prius, Belta, E class) none of them is a Corolla. So considering Corolla is more prone to thefts the rate may be a bit higher for it.

I had EFU for my 9th Gen for five years (2005-2010) imposed by UBL and had just a 2,500 rupees claim.

Then for my Mehran dealer gave me number of Askari General Insurance and I found them very good. Quick, no fuss on claims, replacement of parts, super fast processing and it was covered at 2.7 percent in 2013.

I contacted them again for Altis and bargained very hard and they finally gave me a special rate and I paid 49,000 rs and no tracker.

Had couple of claims as a biker broke the rear tail light. Was done/replaced in half an hour, paid some 8,00 depreciation on light which was for 17,500 rs. Then had another job earlier last month and again quick processing and I paid nothing as depreciation. So they are good.

They come to you on just phone call and renewals are very easy as I just TCS them the cheque and get documents on my desk.
