My Altis 1.8 2009 is almost 170 k Driven till now . which also includes 110k Driven on Gas .Now i m having issue of Engine that engine sound became loud .More over it start consuming Mobile oil .On almost 200km drive it ends almost 1 liter of Mobile oil and i have to refill it .i have already overhauled head 3 times in these years .and in january this year i changed the piston rings as well . But Mechanic made a mistake in changing that he put rings after shortening it .any way after 2 months My engines sound changed and it became noisy and start consuming Mobile oil . After checking to 2 or 3 mechanics they said that the only solution is to change the engine . you should swap the engine as engine have became much weaker . so i need Advice according new engine .where to buy and where i can find kabli engine in good condition.

Faheem bro, overhauling is not successful in these engines. That's why they get bad often.

Qwerty you're just being Toyota biased. Toyota dealership isn't the answer.

I have swapped a same friends corrolla altis. It was overhauled thrice and still after 50-60k km was throwing smoke and was eating oil.
I bought him pure jdm engine of Toyota altis
And he is mashallah enjoying the economy, sound and smooth ride.

20w50 is a very thick oil not recommended for these dohc engines.
5w30 or 10w40 is enough for these dohc engines. The more thick oil you're putting the performance gets affected. But don't change from 20w50 to less thick oil because you'll have oil consumption issues.
Remember you can increase the thickeness of the oil according to the mileage like after 80-90k u can jump to 10w40 and after that to 20w50 but u can't directly jump to 20w50

Timing seal is something different bro.
The issue he is telling is something else. Every one can't have timing seal issue. And timing seal doesn't drains that much oil.
