    Default 1974 Corolla KE35 project

    Hi,
I am in process of my first ever project of my first ever car 1974 Corolla (2door) Project. So far I have done with mechanic work n installed 2.0L VVTI BEAMS 7 gear (6 fwd, 1 Rev). But I am still unfinished with denting, paint, interior, n especially rims.

    - So plz guide me in paint coz I m looking fwd to go for BAKE PAINT with ZERO DENTING (no potien at all)
    - And extra safety measures coz I have changed the engine from 1.2 to 2.0L, what precautions should I take for safety purposes?.and I have changed the rear tube into LSD (Lift Supply Diffrential) which supply power to both rear tyres rather then in one tyre(stock)
    - I have to buy rims as well, local community recommend me to visit PESHAWAR before buying rims from Rawalpindi/Islamabad. To have an idea about the price and variety of rims and tyres.
    - Any guide lines or recommendation from u guys are welcome and I appreciate allot ur concerns and WE CAN GO FOR SPIN TOGETHER ON MY CAR COMPLETION

ABS Was Not Introduced In These Models So Better Avoid ABS Unless You Completely Have Uncut Set With Module And Wiring And Know How To Do It...
    Thanks for your reply.
Whole complete set of 4 wheel disc of which model? If we use a complete set of 4 wheel disc without ABS then the car will slip or not while braking?

Yes, ABS is not introduced in AE90. My AE90 is swapped with 1NZ-FE, so if I want to install 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS then either I have to swap the complete braking system with Axio (because engine is of Axio model) or it can also be swapped with other braking system from different model like AE-101?

AE101 System Can Work But How Much Compatible It Can Be With SETUP OF EE90 4WD Is A Big Question...W.o ABS....Disc Will Lock Wheels And It Will Slip....However Installing ABS And Getting It Work All Itself Is One Hell Of A JOB

Bigger Rotor Upgrades With Proper Lines Bleed And Everything To Notch Is Enough For Normal Braking Requirement....

System compatible with which SETUP OF EE90 4WD? Can you please explain a little more about how ABS system works with car ECU, either the ABS ECU works independently or it has to coordinate with car's ECU? Which braking system is more compatible or best for current 1NZ-FE AE90 setup, either Corolla X (because wiring is of Corolla X) braking system or AE101?

I think every car without ABS will lock its wheels and slip. AE90 GT comes with 4 wheel disc brakes, does it also lock wheels and slips??

In your previous post you said that......."If You Find A Whole Complete Set Including Prop. Valve Line Set Hand Brake Cable And Complete Caliper Kit..Then Go For 4 Wheel Disc...Otherwise Avoid It."

If I can't figure out ABS than bigger rotor upgrades is the last option.

With Complete Set One Can Get Reliability Of 4 Wheel Disc as From Factory....Without ABS I Technically Wont See Any Much Good In 4 Wheel Disc Setup And Spending Fortune To Get It Done....

ABS Module Works Independently On 90's Corolla..Though With Time ABS Gets Better...I Recommend A Big Rotor Upgrade...They Will Do Good

Is it also possible to upgrade the rear drums to bigger size? I respect your recommendation of big rotor upgrade. But I want to give a try to ABS, may be I would succeed or may be not.

On Corolla 90, ABS module has nothing to do anything with car's ECU or wiring.......right? As you said that with time ABS gets better, so which ABS module/system is best suitable for this purpose, Corolla X or AE101?

You Need To Upgrade Complete HUB With Drum But Size Is Almost Same In All Variants....Not Much Difference In Size...Hub May Not Be Compatible Either

Try Corolla E100 ABS If You Want To Try...

ABS did come in AE100 or it comes in AE100 GT? Have a look at this thread, post number 363.

Did you see the ABS wiring loom and connectors in the pics of above thread? How do we connect ABS wiring loom with car's ECU and speedometer? Please share complete detail how to install ABS?
    Thanks.

Look For Electrical Wiring Manual Of AE100..You Will Find It Out There In Manufacturers Manual

This Is Out From AE100 And Bolt-On For AE100...Make Sure It Fit On E90 Platform As There Are Many Difference In Dimension Of Bay And Brake Lines May Not Align

Do you have Electrical Wiring Manual of AE100?

If I find a complete set of 4 wheel disc brakes of Corolla AE90 GT model which is bolt-on for Corolla AE90, then should I go for this?

    No I Dont Have...

With Disc Brakes Setup You Can Go For It...Make Sure You Also Get Matching Proportional Valve Along With Suitable Boster/Master Cyl Too With Uncut Hand Brake Cable

For ABS I have found this and don't know how to understand it.

    1974 Corolla KE35 project -1705250

For 4 wheel disc brakes without ABS, until now only found rear disc brakes of AE90 GT and not a complete setup, will further search.

And If for some reason can't find complete setup of AE90 GT 4 wheel disc brakes then can I go for complete setup of AE100 or AE101 4 wheel disc brakes? As parts availability of AE100/AE101 is more.
