Thread: Toyota Corolla 2012

    Default Toyota Corolla 2012

    So i bought toyota corolla 2012 with 39k on ODO few months back.
    It was well maintained car so the only thing i would do was get Oil changed, plug changed and drive.

    For last few days my car would drop slight RPM on AC, ie 0.9-0.8 RPM, and it turned 60k on ODO.
    I did following for my car.

    Changed Oil and Oil Filter 2400rs (Hx5)
    Changed Air Filter (400rs)
    Changed Plugs (600rs total)
    Changed Brake pads both Rear and Front (9700 rs for both OEM)
    Then got following,
    Got Throttle body cleaining with petrol
    Got screws tightened under carriage

    RPM has gotten better, and its hard getting used to the new RPM, with AC they are at 1.1 and would go upto 1.5 sometimes and would drop back to 1.1
    Pick has increased definately.

    I was adviced against changing Break oil, transmission oil by mechanic.
    Mechanic Charges were 1500rs.

    I feel content

    Changing brake oil after 3-4 years is strongly advised by experts.

    Air filter and plugs should have been genuine too.
    Anyway your RPM isn't stable meaning throttle body service wasn't perfect. It should be smooth at around 900 with ac and 7 to 800 without ac with no fluctuation. I'm guessing it's a 1.3.

    Anyway you said that you feel content ... so that's what matters.

    so you are saying you bought it while it hd odo at 39k nd it by self had odo changed to 60k.....or you drove it meanwhile?
