Question Burning smell from new car!

Hi. Is it normal to have a toasty smell radating from under the hood of a new car? I just recieved my Altis 1.6 and after a drive from the showroom (hardly 7 km away) to my home I noticed a burning toast like smell from the outside of the car after parking it in the garage. I noticed it again after a short drive at night and the next day as well. Should I take it back to the dealer or is it a normal occurrence? I'd highly appreciate any input in this regard. Thanks.

Thanks a million guys for the guidance. Went to the toyota dealership yesterday and got my car inspected. They said it's a normal phenomenon for a new car going through its initial run. Much relieved.

Don't worry, its quite normal. You feel this smell more prominent due to ventilation problem because you park the car in a garage.

Have you taken note of car temperature? Is it normal?
Have you seen any dripping under the car?
Open the hood and examine if any leaks?
Have you checked the oil level (just as a common sense check)?
Go to dealer only once you have notices something unusual?

Thanks @bridgedoctorali for such a detailed reply.
Yes I have taken note of the car temparature and it falls in the normal range. There is no dripping under the car and/ or any leaks. And yes I have checked the oil levels. Got the car inspected from the dealer and they assured me that it is a normal phenomenon and that the smell would go away in a few days.

Nothing to be worried about just check the engine bay for any leaking oil u can give the car a 24 hr rest after a long drive ,excess oil may be dripping on to some hot area....
