    The part numbers are different for XLI/GLI and Altis. The prices are different too. Altis spare parts are more expensive. Now whether the parts are interchangeable or not is a different matter. Probably not.

    I have seen from 2008-2013,Suspension parts such as Steering Racks and Shocks are same,for models after 2014 will also be same but some Desi Mechanics might argue as Altis have bigger engine size and torque so front shocks are different.

    There is difference. 1.6 and low models don't have suspension of 1.8 .

    everything is bolt-on interchangable, Toyota 3S shops scams the user.
    every Corolla Variant assembled in Pakistan have same DNA,

    the changes are cosmetics as in appearance lights / trims & add-ons like navigation, multimedia etc.

    2nd variable is Power Train & Rubber Tyres

    Agree with @capsat. All the variants have the same front independent Macpherson strut, and the same rear semi-independent torsion beam setup. And parts are interchangeable too across the lineup. No such thing as a "front semi-independent Macpherson strut".

    All McPherson strut suspensions are of the independent type. If the difference is inferred only by what is written on the website than it is incorrect.

    Sounds like just marketing wordplay. Write it independent or not its the same thing.

    it is like spelling of assassination ... by a teacher in school defining qatal in english

    khoota ... khoota... mai ... qoom = Assassination

    khoota = a s s
    i =maikhood
    qom = nation

    Correct me if I am wrong, but does something "semi independent mcpherson strut" exist? What I know is all mcpherson struts are independent.,

    BTW, all grades in corrolla have same thing in the name of suspension.
    Prepare for the worst, Hope for the best.
