Default Need Your Suggestions in Toyota Car Selection...

    AOA, PakWheelers,

I am currently driving Honda City 2013 (Basic Version) as my daily and long commute car. However, I want to change my ride to Toyota Corolla Version because of a number of factors.
My Daily Commute is in Islamabad (+/- 200 Kms). Apart from it, 1 trip per month to Multan with My Small Family ( A Kid & Wife). I need a car with a trunk to accommodate all the luggage in long travel & also not to rip my pocket off. Within City, i drive upto 80Kmh and on long upto 130 kmh on motorways & 100 kmh on Provincial highway.
Can you suggest which one of following version can be best option for my usage within 15000$ price tag. I shall be having 25K as fuel allowance as Monthly Fuel Allowance.

    1. Toyota Corolla Axio X (2007) or G Version (Japanese)
    or
    2. Toyota Corolla Altis (1.6) A/T
    3. Toyota Corolla Gli (1.6) A/T

    Regards,
    Abdul Basit,

You are right... Islamabad Number is not this range but how about any other city like Multan or Lahore??....
Functions wise which one is better ... Local or Imported... Main Aspect is comfort 1st ... Fuel Affordability (Not Fuel Economy) at 2nd...

    Thanks & Regards,

If looking for comfort and reduction of fatigue then Altis other wise for fuel affordability its better to continue with city,,,,,,,
I think you are confused as for the comfort and fuel affordability u must have to choose 1.

you seems to be not able to buy Grande other wise your both issues can be addressed in 1 single solution.

Remain far away from Axio type cars as they are mostly accidental, meter tempered, sunami dipped or Nuclear radiation exposed cars.
if still want an imported one then import it by yourself with the help of your friend or pak wheels also.

Why not go for brand new gli a/T or if a bit affordable manual gli it's the best option in my opinion it all depends on you.

Brand new GLI AT is around 19 lac, so out of budget. But I didn't get, what's your issue with the current Honda City? I think City's trunk space is almost similar to Corolla. So that shouldnt be an issue. City AT's fuel economy is also better than GLI AT or Altis and this should be your major issue as your daily commute is really long.

Used GLi A/T 2012 or Altis 2011-12 would be good for you. I wouldn't recommend Axio since the probability of finding a clean and unabused unit is low.

I'm guessing City's hard suspension is causing lack of comfort for the poster.

Yeah Ivtec3 ... you are right... Hard Suspension, Poor cabin Noise Insulation.. and i have driven almost 100k with City.. So kind of fed up... My major issue is travel to multan.. After Gojra, On internal Punjab roads Honda City is a night mare... Lights are also very poor for that roads in night... So alot of issues with Honda City 2013.. No doubt.. its a very stylish and good acceleration car but comfort and as a family ride... Naah Naah... Never ever a good choice...

In your budget, axio has an immobilizer, the rest don't. You can look into a 1.8 if manual isn't an issue. Else stick to the 1.6 gli

In that generation Corolla, 1.3 GLi was manual, 1.6 GLi was auto and Altis has both. No immobilizer for any variant, so it depends upon you which transmission you opt for.
