I was not able to find the rubber one from Rawalpindi, so had to custom order a plastic-**** one; which leaked in 4 months. Then bought a new gasket from Jabbar Autos, Gawal Mandi, Rawalpindi made of cardboard sort of material (gatta). It is leaking very slightly. I am now waiting for the leak to subside itself in a week or I will apply some silicone sealant (found a slightly expensive one, looks good, says on it that it was made in USA) till I find this rubber one.

But the transmission chamber should not be opened regularly as it increases the chances of warping the chamber (causing leak) or introducing impurities in chamber.

Today I Visited Toyota Rawal Firstly they didn't have this part and even can't provide Part number Secondly I was quite shocked that Service Adviser and Senior Service Technician told me you don't need to apply gasket (Jain) just apply Silicone and wait for 3 hours and they admitted they are doing same,it really shocked me.

yes this is what they do in many cases for imported cars like vitz etc but for local corolla its shocking indeed.

That might work better because silicone is essentially a gasket maker. If made perfectly it might do the job better than plastic cork gasket or the cardboard gasket I am currently using.

Disappointed,Regardless of Toyota Dealership Today I went to Railway road and consulted it with few known mechanics all were insisting on not to use Gasket while changing ATF,just apply Silicone and done.
