    Hello Faiq...
    howz ur Gli doing...
anywayz......i suggest that if you won't need much grip or wanna drive normal.......i prefer to use the stock tyres size specified by TOyota...its gonna good on ride as well as on fuel..
    Company specified
    175/65/R14 for 4A-FE.....!(Bridgestone B70 or Dunlop)

    if you need some extra...
get Japanese Bridgestone Potenza or Dunlop ones in size
    195/65~70/R14.....

i am using Bridgestone from last 11 months....drive that on 4 disasterous Rains in Khi...Mashallah no Puncture till now from January.......i am using Bridgestone B70 175/70/R13 in my Sunny.....going awsome.......
Bridgestone B700 is japanese model of same tyres but as all says Japanese ones are stocked not fresh so i prefer Malaysia Bridgestone B70.....
AA Tyres in Tyre Market just on Main road are main dealers of Bridgestone.....!if you need some good rates and fresh stock...buy Bridgestone from him....!
Potenza is all Japenese and if you wan't 195 one's...get Potenza...!!

    @ser_gtr
    hru
alh my ride is doing gr8.
yaar i changed the stock tyres with xp2000 and 14" rims
the stock one were FALKEN R205/65/R13
while the current ones are XP2000 R175/70/R14

the FALKEN tyres had a gr8 grip . on the other hand, since august 2006 i had 4-5 punctures with XP2000 tyres. All the time pressure low on 1 or 2 tyres. i have changed the valves and checked for puctures too - no result. It doesnt have grip at all. Specially when u know the conditions of Karachi Roads. they are noisy tyres too .

I want noiseless tyres with a gud grip for all seasons.
Inshallah I will check out the shop u mentioned for bridgestone.

I also wanted to ask thet if I go for 195/60/R14. will the car touch on road speed breakers. or 195/65/R14 will be gud. I am asking because I have a cng cylinder installed in the trunk.

Any Rates idea for bridgestone, dunlop etc?

    Thanks
    Regards

first ,, the rims i was talking about is 13" rims not 14". so you stay with lower profile (sidewall 185/65/14) otherwise yr speedometer will show less speed than yr car's actual speed at average 100km/hr and you may be going at 105km/hr.,,(the speed displayed decreases with ratio)

    @ car addict

yaar alh 90% cng is doing f9 on 1.6 gli auto
i have been on cng since august 2005.
i have installed tomisato efi cng kit with advancer and emulator.
in the beginning i had to set the mixtures this and that but now its working gud.
the only problem i face is the little vibration on D position while i m standing idle i.e on red traffic signals.
I have tried to solve the problem but i hhave been unable to stop the vibrations

if u talk abt pickup and speed. its gr8 but not to the extent of petrol. I m getting an avg of 75 km on full cylinder on Karachi Roads. Otherwise on highways its around 100+ km with ac.

i will prefer 1.6 gli auto as its a powerful car with full options. But if you need comfirt then go for exi.
I think u can get new shape of 2001 exi in the price of 1.6 gli auto.

    Hello!
    faiq......aspect ratio or say height.......!
its better you get 65....................width was not a matter...how much u need its upto you....so 185 or 195 does'nt matter...actual thing was aspect ratio.....well try finding the one haveing 65....that will be good......if you won't find......then go for 70.......
60 was too much lower......chances that your car touches speedbreakers somehow.........also low profile tyres are damn hard on suspension as well as you won't be much happy with them......!
    so 65 is best...otherwise 70...!
well i think one tyre will cost you somehow about 3500 approx....well check market for dunlop but AA tyres was the main dealer of bridgestone located on main road...if you wanna get Bridgestone Potenza or B70........better get from there...!in nominal rates and fresh stock...!

    Hello!
well Faiq Congrats....Both Dunlop and Bridgestone are best brands.....!
well i think you may have find AA tyres.........yaar on main road means just where market begins....!
or i can say in Radio Pakistan gate line....!
anywayz.......i suggest onething....now you get new tyres....so its not nothing if u spend rs 250/- to buy a dial Guage for air pressure check....maintain air.....28 front 30 Rear in winters and 30 front 30 rear in summers...
bcz the tyres shop have some foolish type of guages....so never beleive on them......use your own..... i buy one when i got new tyres and its easy now to maintain......!
so you should consider that thing in mind..!
