Tough choice, but then again all depends upon your budget. The base price Civic manual starts at around 13,29,000 as opposed to the manual Altis which starts at 12,19,000, which btw comes with an SRS airbag with ABS, the base Civic only coming with ABS. If you can ditch around 14+ then you can get yourself the top of the range VTi Oriel which in my view is value for money, certainly not the base price civic! Resale Im not too sure about, at this point of time, neither car has much. Corolla has the same shape for the past 4-5 years, so its " extremely common". Civic stands out, and Honda engines tend to give more power than its Toyota variant in the same engine catergory. Check out Honda.com.pk and toyota-indus.com/corolla for engine specs! Good luck!

    Salam

I agree with GLi. Go for Honda. I would even recommend you the basic model, just get some good 15 or 16 inches rims on it and you'r done. By just providing a 1.8 engine ABS SRS Bags in same corolla is a pathetic move by Toyota and totally not impressive.

Its abvious the Civic is better BUT its too damn expensive.
As far as im concerned its daylight robbery charging like 15+ laks for the Oriel Prosmatec.

I knw ur askin abt the Corolla & Civic , but id say forget abt both. Go for the Premio.

    @ aftab
if i was in your place i would go for the corolla since i am a born corolla fan.plus the civic is too expensive (1.3 million for just the base model is tooo much).you can get the top of the range altis in that price.
anyways all the best with your purchase and do tell which car have you chosen

the pros and cons of both cars in my opinion are...

    Altis:
Pros:Even It's top most model is cheaper than the civic base model.
Is reliable and spare parts are cheap and easily available
Cons: Drive is a bit rough
Same old model with only a new engine, can't tell if it's a 13 lakh or a 8 lakh car. Really common look
    No resale at this time

    Honda:
    Pros:
Has a more comfortable drive and feel than altis.
New Model so won't be that common and u'll stand out of the crowd
Cons: High way robbery for it's base and specifically 15 lakh model (15 lakh for exclusivity is too darn much and that's what they're charging for) In my opinion not good value for money at all
    No resale at this moment
Minor bun engine made Benny Lava...

throw the rolla in the trasgh and go for civic. it has more comfort and more bhp. civic is more aerodynamic and has a lot more downforce than a rolla cuz the rolla is much higher in height. civic is not common so all the eyes will be on u BRO!

Hi I drive a civic 2002 and Altis 2005 believe me I made a very wrong choice buying Altis, infact I never knew honda is going to launch such a darling vehicle. Will have to sell Altis.

    @aftabs
I would definitely go for a Civic rather than Corolla Altis. Honda is known for delivering power and performance for many many years. The only drawback is that the dealers here are robbing the ppl by tagging very high price, otherwise the best suited car by all means
As for Corolla, braking has always been a problem and shape hasnt been changed for around 4 years now. Only advantage is tht having cheap spare parts. So dont go for Corolla Altis.

If you want to stick with Corolla then go for XLI or GLI. Don't throw your money for a car (Altis) which is not worth to money. Go for New Civic, it does not have any match with Corolla.

So no second thoughts, if you can afford go for Civic.
