30Rs...wow man lucky. I would say DO NOT go for CNG if you can get petrol that cheap. 12km/liter is alright , u can improve it a little by getting engine tuned.

Hi no need to spoil your xli when ur getting petrol for 30 rs/lit.

Xli does upto 14 in city and 17 on highways.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

The iranian petrol is very much sub standard fuel. So much so that there is a peculiar smell of oil burn in the whole climate of quetta....i am sure people who have visited quetta from other cities must have smelled it. Also a friend in quetta had an XE corolla....and its exhaust would always be black like anything....as if the car was producing a lot of carbon.......so my suggestion avoid this fuel in a new car.

    ANSWERS
    QUALITY OF IRANIAN PETROL
it is scientifically proved that the quality of iranian petrol is not that much well as our pakistani petrol moreover the octane no. is poor which makes knoking in the engine.

    FOR ENGINE
it is not that much harmful for engine or for environment if you change the filter frequently.

    FOR COUNTRY ECONOMY
well it effects our economy but if u consider that from whom we are importing the petrol is a muslim country then it doesnt matters

TREND OF PETROL CARS IN QUETTA
now a days in quetta most of ppl are driving xli, gli, and honda civic and honda city , + mark and camray (which is a bit rare ) which shows that the iranian petrol is much better and economical.

I WANT TO KNOW THE PRICE OF A CNG 2002-3 MODEL HONDA CITY IF ANY ONE KNOWS THE EXACT FIGURE PLEASE POST. IF U PPL NEED ANY HELP REGARDING PRICES IN QUETTA I AM ALWAYS AT THE SERVICE OF PAKWHEELS
    THANKS

During the last gwadar Rally, my friend used to run his Suzuki Vitara petrol on Smuggled fuel available for 18Rs/litre from a small dhaba. And he ran the whole rally with it, not a single knocking problem or anything.

Lemme search for pix, I have one pic of a pathan filling up an GLi with smuggled fuel.

DO NOT go for iranian petrol, it has a considerable amount of impurities in it... I used to work for an OMC before and we caught a couple of filling stations selling iranian petrol, when we did a chemical analysis the fuel had a significant amount of impurities (measured in ppm) and a very high sulphur content (it also gives off a VERY pungunt stench!).... so do both the environment and your engine a favor and convert to CNG!

Yes, some shops sell inferior fuel but not all. You can ask the guys to give u CHALNEE ALA PETROL which is purified.
