Default Overhauling My Corolla (My Mate Since'82)

    salamz brothers,

I own a corolla 1982 which I bought brand new in the same year. Now this car is with me for last 25 years and I have driven it about 2.50.000 km without any problems.(never touched engine except tune ups)..still runs very good. But after this much kms now it started burning oil so I decided to overhaul the engine AT HOME.as I have almost every possible tool at home for my rides.

I have taken the engine out and dismantled it and now going to reassamble...I can take pics and post STEP BY STEP procedure that how an engine is overhauled.....

(1)PLZ SUGGEST ME THAT WILL THIS THREAD BE OF SOME INFORMATIVE VALUE????

(2)SHOULD I START IT OR NOT????

    waiting for your suggestions brothers.....................

Ok brothers....actually most of my young pakwheel brothers are only interested in an engine's BHP,how powerful and quick it is,efi, turbo, nos etc etc but are not bothered to know how an engine is assembled ,how all the parts are fitted and how they work in a sequence to give that BHP.....lol...(and they should not be)..actually its tooooooooo much to even overhaul an engine at HOME with very minor details and exactly according to the factory specifications....but all my rides never visit any workshop(with the grace of GOD)for any type of mechanical work including engine, gear, suspenssions, brakes and every major and minor things...(electrical as well)as I have a complete workshop for my rides in my home ,complete knowledge ,workshop/owners manuals of all rides (I have)and some persons who work for me according to my "DETAILS"...(as you have seen in spitfire restoration thread)...lolzzz.

this overhauling of my 25 years old 82 corolla (which I own for last 25 years..bought new in 82)was something of routine matter....but while getting it done, this thing came to my mind that if I share all the details of this overhaul with my pakwheel brothers,it may be some of informative value...though every one cant do this himself at home(neither it should be)but if one has some knowledge about it,he can get it done in a better way and no mechanic can deceive......(sorry mechanics). But now a days no one keeps a car for so long that its engine is looking for an overhaul...Any how I will share complete assembling of the engine with my pakwheel brothers...

Almost all the internal combustion engines 4 stroke are the same inside(basically)...whether its 3 cylenders,4 cylender,6 inline,v6, v8,carburator type, fuel injection, turbo charged..etc,etc with some minor differences...
our" project" engine is very famous 4K ,4 cylender,1290CC used in toyota corolla model 1982.As this idea came in my mind a little late ,so I missed the pics of getting it dismentled...but..from now on as assembling starts...I will try to share all the details with my pakwheel brother so it may be of some informative value.....
