    Default Lambda Kit in XLi

    Hi everybody,

I own XLi 2006 model. I have CNG installed in it.

One of my friends told me about Lambda Sensor, that it improves performance / pickup and consumption as well. In addition to that tuning problems are also resolved.

Does any body having XLi have Lambda installed? What do you suggest that should I get it installed?

    Please help.

    Regards,
    Mudassar

    improves performance/top speed.
in my case did not improve mileage as such.
air fuel adjustment is still required at times even if u have lambda installed

    Hi,

Somebody told me that Lambda actually control the mixture, and there is some servo motor for this purpose, which controls it.

Is it true? or otherwise what is th mechanism of Lambda.

Agreed, its a wastage of money, if you get a low priced, low quality componants installed in your car, also if its not installed by a trained installer, who has not the capability to calibrate the system properly.

To install a component is no problem, any body can do that, to get the performance from that componant is the actual technique.

So both Lambda and CNG kit were installed at the same time or otherwise Lambda was installed after some time, of installation of CNG kit.

In fact I want to check what is the performance improvement with Lambda.
