    cud possibly be coz of the tyre size, corolla might be using bigger tyrez that's why therez a slight difference in the speedometer , if ur on 100 km/h then it wud tell 93-95 if ur using bigger tyrez than the standard size, , same case was with our corolla, cuz of the bigger size of the tyrez...

    well from factory too the speedos are not 100% accurate, once some tv show tested it and in some cars the error came out to be as big as 9.2%...

    its not the problem with tyres, its a factory default problem from all hondas since 1986, the speedometers show more on mileage, although it has been rectified in other countries but this is PAKISTAN.

    Anyways for more information read the HONDA LAW SUIT on GOOGLE.

    hi bro.
    thx for replying bt i still thnk dat tyres or rim size makes no difference as speed is constant.i mean 120km_h means dat ur vehicle will cover 120 km in an hour so weather u r driving a car or bus 120 means 120 n it also displays more milage as well.this is a big problem and which 1 do u all thnk is correct corolla or civic?i thnk corolla

    @alipeers
    Tyre size does make a difference. I travel from lahore to islamabad on daewoo quite often. Once i read a notice pasted just close to the driver's seat ." Yaad rekhiyay, jub aap ka meter 105 ki speed show keray tu aap ki speed 115 hogi". (meaning when your meter is showing 105km/hr speed, you are actually going to 115 km/hr) something like that.

    @alipeer... tyre size does make a difference, but u are right... i'v also observed a 5km/hr difference between altis and the new civic... when the altis is at 120, civic shows 125-126...

    So yes, if the tyres sizes are stock, u'll be getting this difference... one more thing, i guess the corolla meter is correct, coz the motorway radars also (always) got my speed on the civic with a -5 difference...
    we'll miss u...

    ARe you driving ur altis on the same 14" Generals.Well there you go, thats the issue. Im assuming youve spent to change them to higher quality 15/16"ers so the meter will tell differently as it is preset to calculate with knowing youre driving with 14" tires.
    Makes a diff bro.
