Default Indus Corolla XE Engine Oil Leak Problem

    Hi all.

My father has a Toyota Corolla XE model 98. Its engine oil keeps leeking. I showed it to the mechanic but the oil keeps on spilling. Now its a bit better, it doesnt leaks while the engine is off. But when the car moves the oil level goes down i.e. it leaks during driving. I tried to find out what the problem is, sometimes it appears to be coming out from the oil filter, i changed it but still it leaks from god knows where. it doesnt burn by the way. Any idea guys? Or a trustable good mechanic in Karachi u know of?

    Regards.

    i didn't meant that..

actually u didn't told that from where the oil is leaking.

it may be your shocks, poor seals or the oil drain nut is damaged. may be oil is leaking from filter .... hope u understand now:-)

    There can be two resons for the leakage;

    1) Engine oil seal is damaged and needs replacement
    OR
    2) Oil drain nut needs to be replaced

okay there can b couple of things too watch and its definatly not the shocks as shocks oil leak wont be seen on dip stick!

    most common things are
    a) engine packings get worn out so they leak oil
    b) look for oil dranage nut below the oil chamber

and none of the above it cause

dey are pullin out the pipe that goes from tappet cover to air fliter after removing it start your engine if there is some smoke there den you got (Back) problem which means your engine is weak

go to a machinic and see what he says!
A Car should not leave its mark on the road, but in ur head!

I went to the mechanic, he pulled out the pipe going from the tappet cover to the air filter and said it may be creating more pressure because of weakness. The pipe isnt there, but the oil still leaks. The oil drain nut at the bottom is dry.

You mean the pipe from PCV(Positive crankcase ventilation) valve to air filter is not there ?

If its not, then get it fixed and also do get the PCV valve inspected it could be due to clogged PCV..
