Default Problem with Corolla Auto transmission

    Hei guys,

I have a problem with my Corolla Altis Automatic’s acceleration (Pick). It doesn’t accelerate much, it takes ages to reach 100 KM/H in D Gear Mode, and I’ve also tried a number of combinations with lower Gear Modes, with and without OVER DRIVE (O/D) option, but failed.

I took the car to the Toyota Workshop in 1-9, they said “Pick theek kerneay key leye Throttle saaf kena parey ga”

Surprisingly the pick went accelerating after cleaning the throttle (which they cleaned or .......), but unfortunately after two weeks it turned back into back state, I took the car again to that Toyota Workshop and they said Automatic transmission oil needs to be changed as it is turning into dark red. (According to them it should be red at least for first 40,000 Kms) Since the car is in warranty, but I’d like to know the cause for it. I purchased the car six months ago, and I don’t think Throttle requires cleaning or Fuel Filter or Auto transmission oil needs to be changed whereas I’m using the car sparingly in Islamabad only.

    Any thoughts?

    Plz

    Thanks

i had a similar issue with my previous ride SE Saloon Auto.
the toyota folks ran the CO test, and tweaked the settings. If i remember correctly it should be in the range of 1.0~1.50. My car was like 2.5 or something. Dunno if that would help you .. it improved the fuel avg tho

@asimsaim thanks dude! the toyota guys already cleaned Throttle body, but i'm not keen to change the Filters n stuff..cos Car is just under 3000 Km

@MIKz i'll try to take the CO test but frm somwhere else.

@CandyMan npz i didnt change the fuel filter, air filter or plugs, cos the car's mileage is pretty low.

    any thoughts further?

take the vehicle to another workshop like you already said in your post

when you took the car again to the workshop did they checked the throttle again to see if it needs cleaning? if the pick became normal after cleaning it in the first place than it seems to be the culprit part to me

I have a few questions being the owner of an auto altis myself. First of all there's no o/d option in it (at least i did'nt get to see it). Secondly try driving with the ect mode set to power, see if that improves anything. Thirdly approx how much time does it take to reach 100 km/h ?
