# Thread: petrol consumption of gli per litre?

1. ## petrol consumption of gli per litre?

how much km per litre for gli ?
with ac and without ac
city n highway

2. Should be 13-14kms/litre with ac in city depend on driving style.

Highways: again speed dependent, I got 17+ with partial AC on motorway, was alone, no luggage.

3. i thnk its 12km with ac and 14km without AC in city.

4. GLi doesnot give more than 15 km/l without AC on Highway.
With AC, not more than 13-14 km/l on Highway.
In city, it doesnot give more than 12 with AC and without AC max 13-14.
I dont know how people calculate such Unrealistic Averages like 17 km/l on Highway!

5. buddy they mite not b unrealistic ..
17 km/l may b 80-90 km/hr with out ac ...
if u go @120 km/hr on highway
xli/gli (same engines) does almost 15-15.5/l...#there may be variation ... may be driving conditions ..
these factors also depend alot

6. I dont know how people calculate such Unrealistic Averages like 17 km/l on Highway!
@kashan2010. As I said it depends on driving style. Also city roads, traffic congestion, idling, quality and quantity of fue matter a lot.

The quality of airfilter and motor oil, tires and correct inflation and general upkeep also make a lot of difference.

Drive safe, save life and fuel too, lol

7. Ya i agree that all these things matter alot but we are discussing here the fuel, that a Normal Stock GLi consumes in City and i myself have an XLi and my Cousin has a GLi and my two other friends have these cars and they are giving us this average.

8. My Gli is giving almost 14 Km in the City

9. And i also drive the car at low RPM's and not at high RPM's and i get this average.
I dont know why people Over-Exaggerate.
Someone told me that Cultus CNG(Carburator wali) gives him around Rs. 0.75 per km and i get it checked from alot of Cultus owners and they said that how it can be possible? It is a Car not a Bike! They said that it gives around Rs. 1.50-1.75 per km on Highway.
So i dont know, how people calculate the average fuel Comsumption of their Cars.

10. Your location says you are in Lahore, that is understanable, Lahore traffic is responsible partly for a bit higher consumption.

Seocnd you are young and energetic person. I am getting older and laid back and seldom floor the throttle and in Islamabad there is less traffic congestion than Lahore. Also I always switch off the engine when have to make a stop longer than one minute, though in summer I don't do it quite often due to terrible heat and to keep the ac running.

Third try to change filling stations and always get your car's tanks filled instead of 1000, 2000 rupees fillings. If you are at a good petrol pump it makes your average better.

I hope you are able to understand two different situations.

11. Ya i agree with all this but there are 3 cars (XLi's and GLi's), not one.
And i agree with ur 13-14 km/l in City but 17 km/l on Highway is Ununderstandable. I used to drive the car at High RPM's in the past but now i drive it at Low RPM's even i never cross 3000 RPM. So i think i drive it very Reasonably.

12. well before i had put cng my car it gave me max 14km and avg 12-13...17km/l?huh....this is honda citys avg whch has an econo engine.2nz-fe is alot more thirsty....

13. @ abdullah1

I agree with u, this is more Realistic. Can u tell me that what about its average on CNG?
And does it have 55 or 60 Cylinder?

14. well kashan...to be realistic provided proper tuning it gives 140km in city and 130wid ac.....long varies from 160-180 dpnding on ac and gas quality but i presume all to be good bcuz it has a decent amount of pick...petrol i use only 2 start the car

15. Thanx Alot abdullah1.

16. My xli gives 170-195 kms on 55 kg cylinder in city with AC. I know you will say it is unrealistic. When you have cylinder in trunk, your milage on petrol is going to reduce, so take this factor also in account. My petrol averages are when my car had no CNG.

17. @ autophile

170-195 km/cylinder. Is ur Car 800 CC? I said earlier please dont over-exaggerate, even Mehran, dont give this much average (Rs. 1.5 per km with AC in city).
I think Toyota has fitted some 660 or 800 CC engine in ur Car or u run ur Car on Petrol too(not completely on CNG and u think that u r driving it on CNG), kindly get it checked!

18. @kashan2010. Brother seening is believing, lets bet just 1,000 rupees. You come to Islamabad, we fill a full CNG cylinder and drive it together constantly with AC in Islamabad and see the results yourself. BTW last night I refilled CNG after hitting 180 kms. No petrol running involved at all. I am not "over exaggerateing". The car is fullly maintained by Toyota Islamabad motors. Now I have started using Shell semi-synthetic mobil oil.

19. I think the engine must be specially designed for ur Car. All the people should have the same engine that ur car has. I mean Rs. 1.40-1.50 per km with AC on in a Corolla XLi. This reminds me of someone who told me that XLi is a Beast and it can easily win to a Civic VTi :-).
OK main nay maan liya, bas?
At the end of the day, i said this thing to the Cultus owner about whom i mentioned in my Previous Post!
Some People are really Innocent.
Peace.

20. agree @ auto phile

our gli is on petrol still 7000km driven ...n its giving around 12 or 13 km/liter in city without AC...although its good to have

and my father friend gli bought on the same day running on CNG....is giving 150plus km/55 cyl with AC at 2 fan speed in city

which is amazing....even a mehran dont give that much.....n i m really impress with milage of toyota cars

and my chachu in pindi has a black 1.8vvti and that car is givin 140km/55 cyl in city
