Salaam.
Well, my 2006 auto Altis is now giving problems regarding its air-conditioning; in both cooling and air speed. Its running on petrol and is now 46,000km on the clock. I just want to ask if any other Corolla owners, or more specifically Altis guys, have experienced this problem. Because I did (re)fill the cooling gas, but only for a bit better performance. Its nowhere as good as it was before (say Fall 2007) and definitely not as good as my 2003 Civic.
The question is - Why is a 2006 Altis' AC WORSE than a 2003 VTi when both are driven the same way, on the same fuel, and maintained the exact same way? Ive never touched the AC system of my Honda and Masha Allah its been 83000km+ and the cooling is still marvellous.
The AC guy said you should install another cooling fan (for the condenser) as Corollas have only one, Civics have 2. He explained that was the issue because one side of the condenser was getting too hot, however I debated that just 6 months ago there was no problem like this.
So is there an issue with the condenser, cooling fan, compressor or what! Cause its already summer and without a working AC it gets hard to go in the car.
Please advise asap;
Regards
