    Default Toyota Corolla GLI Brakes Problem

    Dear All,

    I have a GLI and i feel that brakes are not up to the mark. Do other people have the same feeling.

    My car has 14" alloy rims and Yokohama tire size is 14"70"195. These tires have 30 thousand used.

    Regards,
    Umar

    @forumar

    Have you ever read this behind a truck "pass kar ya bardasht kar". So either you keep on suffering this problem or sale out your car. But on a serious note, Corolla does have this problem, as you hit the brakes hard the car skids. So just drive slow and hope you never find yourself in a situation where you have to brake hard. I had 15" alloys with 205 on my 2004 XLi.Had an accident while braking ( I don't drive fast) sold the car and bought a Civic.

    Rotate tyres according to instruction....see if the tread is worn out?
    or upgrade to 15s
    last id say brake while pumping the pedal....thats the way to brake a corolla

    you can try one more thing that is ( have less air then and standrad )

    it will also help you to have little good brake, becouse it will provide the extra grip on road...

    OR Drive Slow

    Or......... Have Nissan Sunny 1.6 EX Saloon.... Wonderfull brake more good than Civic....

    tyre air pressure helps, 28psi front, 30 rear. use good tyres, min 185 max 195, use gear breaking
