dude i think its totally upto you, mainly depending on your budget..how much are you willing to spend?...according to ummee, the own on XLI was around 120K and i dont know the own on GLI. assuming that its 80K, you save 40K on the own and include it in the additional cost you have to pay for the GLI, so i think its worth to get the GLI as you're be getting F/F power windows and the other minor upgrades

Hi the cars have same 1.3 litre engine, the difference is power windows and rear mount stop lamp but the price is around 90,000 plus rupees up than XLi. And in GLi the only other advantage is that you can get more colours other than only white and black in XLi, off-course you will have to pay more for metallic colours

If you are comfortable with black and white colours, i would say go for XLi, orginal power windows pack must be around 10-12 k or more (frankly I have not checked recently) and the rear mount stop lamp is for just 250, even 150 wala is available but it has only one bulb. But sure that 90,000+ is too much for GLi, so XLi would be a good buy

hi. yar i think that gli is better. main reasons power windows, power door mirrors, better seats, metallic colours, one saves 40k on own and the best of all you get a techo meter(rpm meter). and if you get all these things installed in an xli it wont work the way it works on gli (my experience with 2000 xe) so i think gli should be the choice.

Additional features of GLi also consist of rear seat belts. 2 shoulder and one hrness belt in rear seats. I think its very important to have rear seat belts. If you have small kids then baby seats or booster seats are fitted easily with orignal belts. Now in Pakistan awreness about wearing seat belts is increasing, therefore it is andavatage of GLi over XLi. GO for GLi.

Yo Guys!!!!I already have a cultus wid me...and i got some money so that's why i thought i should buy a corolla too and maintain both cars.....CULTUS would be in my use and corolla would be in my family's......but interestingly after noticing the actual length of corolla I came to know that these two cars cannot be "fitted" in my porch......so the corolla plan is postponed for some time.......anyways thanx for your suggestions........

    @ autophile
all the accessories can be loaded within 20K rupees

But When u Sale The car Xli. probably u lost the money of all accessories u spend.
So i Say GLI Would Be More Good In Resale.

@jaan99 also remember that expensive models loose more value than standard ones, plus a loaded standard stands better chances and give leverage to seller to get better price due to added features on an already popular model, regards
