Default Corolla General Tyres issue !

I have bought a new altis with 185/65 R14 General tyres ppl are telling me to exchange these for yokohama or Dunlop because General tyres give problems after some time is this really true?? And if I do go for exchange which number/type of yokohama/Dunlop should I get instead of 185/65 R14? at what price would I sell them?? And what would be the price of the new ones?

Yes, its better to change them. If you're going for the steel rims, then get the tyres with the measurement 195/60/r14. For the models Yokohama ES100, A539 and dunlop Formula, Sp Sport 9000, LM702 are good tyres.
If you do change the rims to a 15'' one, get the tyres with the same measurement. Dont get 205 ones because they dont look good and bulge out from the sides.

General Tyres in corolla or Civic are the best if you are a normal driver, if you want to break the record of corolla to done 100Km/h in 6 seconds and skid your car then you should buy Potenza. Plz asses the value diff of these tyres and give the value to refugees in Balakot and Azad Kashmir. I assure u that this is the best. General tyres become Potenza or Eagle F1.

Hi Gen tyres are harder so more prone to skidding one of my friend had an accident on his new Baleno, I also changed my Corolla tyres bcause General tyres create too much road noise, but while getting replacement always follow the sizes recommeneded by manufacturere manual, u can find info on what size oftyres can b fitted on the door stickers also, if you go 4 bigger tyres it will ruin cars suspension, balance, fuel economy, speedometer reading etc
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

Brigestone Potenza and Goodyear Eagle F1 are peace of garbage.Had them in 2 SE Saloons in family.Very hard.Less grip. After 10,000 km they become skate boards. AND F1,Damn !!!! it has so much sound,YES SOUND,when u r on motorway u start getting annoyed from them

yaar, just think simple,General XP2000-2 tyres are ok bhai,i have my Baleno JXR having these tyres & i m satisfied with them,as i do not drive rough. No doubt bridgestone, good year ,dunlop etc. are top rated tyres but it's not necessary to change ur tyres as i think you are not going to participate in any sort of car rally.

We have the largest retail outlet for tyres & Alloys in Pakistan. We sell General 185/65R14 for Rs1100. The Bridgestone Potenza is around 3 times that price. Ask yourself why? Quality of Steel, quality of Nylon, quality of polyester, quality of compound - technology invested in the tread, water dissipation, heat resistance....All the factors are compromised on a cheap tyre - and all are emphasised on a quality brand. Its a no brainer really - Your 13lac car is running on Rs4500 tyres - I'd say changing them is quite important.

i have used Yokohama A539 (195/65R14) on my car for ages, and would HEARTILY recommend them to anyone. The change from stock size is not much, hence has no drawbacks.

A539 are good but extra soft, i used them before Good year NCT5 i have right now. They were good in all aspects but they wear out easy
Treadwear rating is not good. Also i got lot of punctures and one sidewall rupture after 15000Kms.
Grip and noise levels are good, and they look good too.

A539's, side walls are to soft, which gives the extra grip and extra softness over all. But on the longer run, you get bubbles emerging out of the side walls.(which is not a good thing).Tested on 2 different cars. Yokohama has introduced "C Drive".A539 is way to old now.Go for C Drive next time.

Bro i have already got Good year and they are amazing. I know not many people will beleive this but seriously they have changed the whole behaviour of the car even after A539 it grips and brake a lot better. No noise whatsoever. They do attract a lot of small stones though.
