    Default Best workshops for Corolla in Isb/Pindi...........

    The auto parts with toyota 3S centers are (for sure) genuine. However their labor cost is extremely high. Does anyone know a good workshop in Islamabad/Pindi that does quality work and charges worth the effort, not like 3S.

    Its strange Khashraf that u r asking for a MEchanic for Toyota.

    It is the most popular sedan. People who claim that mechanics and parts are not a problem with Toyota will mind your question

    @spectra i know what you mean ... parts are definitely not an issue, but GOOD mechanics are - there are a many for the older corolla shape, but for newer, i would like to know some trusted names who can do reliable work (better than the 3S services) at cheaper rates. Do you know any particular person/shop in Isb....

    Thanks to Hash4u for sharing his choice.

    i know a few people around but they are either Nissan experts or Kia experts. Corolla was never with me as a personal car.

    A good friend is working in Toyota Kabul if u want to get your car checked over there

    Seriously he used to have a workshop in I-9 for like an year and it was party time for me at least. i just used to hang out around to get some knowledge. He was qualified from Toyota japan in some areas and his charges were very nominal. After he has left for Afghanistan even i have to resort to Dealership for routine maintenance.

    @khashraf
    How do u expect an engine mechanic to fit power windows or optitron meter in a car?
    Both the things u have mentioned are more of an electricians job. I can guide u to an electrician if u want in pindi

    @hash4u I referred to "mechanic" as was referred by you and @spectra... the question was to get to a skilled hand (an electrician) who knows how to successful remove the dash, do his job and then place things back without hassle ....

    @Kashraf
    if you want the powerwindows fitted the best place would be the one from where you have buyed them.(Most people who sell them also offer fitting options).In case you buy from one and get them installed from other it will sort of void the warranty.Unfortunately if there was a problem the fitter will say the problem is in the power windows mechanism and the vendor will say that the fitter has done something with the power windows. In other case you will be sure that atleast first time when they will be installed they are working in your car.
    For the mechnaical work depends upon the type and nature of the work.Whether its wheel allignemnet or simple Plug changing or something more technical like check engine warning light.
    For the last one I think Toyota is the only resort if you dont have your own ODB-II scanner. For simple thing like oil changing you can go to any mechanic with proper set of tools and who knows how to loose and tighten a filter and can read the oil dip stick.
    If you walk away from your car and don't look back, you have bought the wrong car.

    agree with Zain,
    the decoration shops have power windows for new corolla on sale. And they offer fitting along with sales.U just need to check few decoration shops and interview the guys who will do the fitting.I saw the power window thing in F10, must be available in Pindi as well. The dubai auto guy is my friend in pindi just incase u want the purchase and fitting to be done from pindi.
