Default Today I Drove a "thing" people call it "Cultus"

    Well I never drove a Cultus before, all time I used to Drive Corolla 88, Land Cruiser and Mitsubishi Intercooler. Today I took a test drive of old Cultus 2001 VXL model. The engine doesn't seems to be powerful I needed to drag it on First Gear after stopping (Usually I drag on 2nd gear of my Corolla 88) Second most strange thing was its "breaks" its breaks were absolutely not effective at all, I was about to hit front car, thanks GOD I decided to apply breaks from little more distance otherwise it could have hit the front car. The car owner said "Cultus ki breaks toh aise hi hoti hian" {Weird}

Secondly, the road grip was pathetic... the car seem to be floating on the road as ship Frankly speaking I didn't drive more faster, just because of though that "what if I have to apply break suddenly - this car won't stop"

My Corolla 88 (1994 Quota) is much much much much much much better then this... it really has Great Grip and Awsome breaks, even on 80Km/h I always have mental satisfaction that if I have to apply breaks suddenly then car WILL STOP within seconds.

I have request to Suzuki Culuts Owners to please guide me if this is wrong and the car I drove was defective OR PakSuzuki is fooling people by selling these "things" called "cars"

hi...just saw this thread today.. " Today I Drove a "thing" people call it "Cultus" ".
well, i'll share my experience with you...
got a brand new cultus, changed its tires and rim, and tuned it properly, used for a few months in city and after 10 to 15k km drove it on motorway...believe me, it touched 183km/h and the car was running very smoothly, road grip was awesome, not even a single jerk. ans as far as braking is concerned, if you service them properly they work just fine.

there is just one thing with suzuki cars, you have to maintain them well, if you can do that you wont have any complaint..!

if you really want a comparison, it should be in same categories
    - Alto, Coure, Santro, Joy, Cultus, Khyber, Pride, Swift, Vitz, Chery
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Liana, Corolla, City, Lancer, Civic ( 1995 - 2005), Baleno, Belta
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Civic re-born, Altis, Optra, Aveo
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Premio, Accord, Camry, Mark X
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Land Cruiser, Prado, Pajero, Hilux, Vigo, Sportage, Range Rover, Defender

Please don't compare like Mehran with Vigo....comparison should be between cars of same size..

How do the highlighted cars fall into the categories you mentioned - That why I can compare a milk supply truck Hilux to a Range Rover Sport

or a stupid Aveo with a corolla - the Aveo is sub-compact class like the belta etc.

    @ Xulfiqar
Leave Belta & Aveo or all other cars a side, all I am saying here is to please compare the cars which are in some sort of same category which is the whole point of discussion. Not that I have strictly categorized the cars...
