    Cool Cultus Vs Liana

    Hey guys,

    I hope this is the right section to post this.

    I would like a comparison of Cultus and Liana.
    - Which car is superior?
    - Offers cheaper maintainance?
    - Good to drive?
    - Reliability?
    - Luxury/Space etc?
    - CNG milage?
    - Overall recommendation of which one to buy (ignoring the price factor).

    Basically, both the cars are in my price range (second hand). I want a family car, I'm in love with the Liana's seating capacity and design. REAL OWNERS of the car have told me its amazing, where as others (dealers etc) say its useless? So i'm a bit confused.

    Would like an honest opinion of you people!

    Thanks

    Great to hear.

    How about the "2nd gear problem" people keep on talking about? You seem like a liana owner, can you address this?

    Also, over heating issues etc etc?

    I'm personally a liana fan, but people around me have filled in all this negativity, so want to clarify.

    Are u seriously going to let dealers stop u?I have a Liana on petrol since 3 years now and MashAllah it has never given us problems.The only problem we ever got from it was that there was a strange noise coming from the back left hand side ...it ended up to be a rusted screw..MashAllah the car has not even given a need for special gentle care.It 's Interior is awsesome..finally paksuzuki made car worth its price.it gives us a great milage on petrol. Around 13-14 km/l in city and at 140 kp/h constant on motorway with A/C on half trip it gave us 16 kp/l.I say u go for Liana..People are going to stop u but u wont regret it!i guarantee that!

    2nd gear=can't drive so not sure about that!

    Overheating=MashAllah my car has never over heated we drove from here to Mirpur which is around 250kms and Mashallah it went without a problem.The overheating is that i have noted that when u start the car its temp guage is down and after 10-15 mins it goes to half.But then it stays there.It mostly doesnt go beyond that.

    Liana is ugly , low quality , low specs .....it's just a seriously crappy car.

    Go for a Cultus as it's cheaper and more practical because it's a hatchback.

    and Cultus is a very high quality car loaded with equipment and features a Modern Engine ?

    or is Cultus an basic car retailing for very high price with an Engine from 1993?
    which eats petrol like a 1.6L car and produces the power equivalent to a Dishwasher?

    for second hand price
    Liana is better in every way
    personally i dont like the Shape of Liana compared to Cultus but its purely subjective and doesnt define a car

    Drive wise Liana is miles ahead of Cultus and interior wise there is no comparison

    cultus has an expensive air filter i think

    if u don't have a family, go for cultus, liana is a good family car.

    u can't easily get in to the cultus from the rear doors, its like u have a total space of 1.5feet... while others have almost over 3 feet...
    people who use Highbeams.. once day would suffer too bigtime. People who drive slow on fast lanes, remember one day a vehicle carryin ur son, dad might get late to hospital coz people like u. underaged driving will land u in bigtime trouble one day or the other.. And the Blue indication light on ur speedometer denotes "High Beams"

    I can see how this discussion is coming along. Cultus is more loved simply because it has a better market (for some odd reason), but Liana may not be as bad as people say it is?

    I was considering a City 2005. But thats kind of out of budget, its touching the 9 range. And i'm at 800 - 820 for a GOOD Liana, which I'll end up keeping for a couple years or so.

    I was a big fan of cultus (i still am) but moving up from an Alto to a Cultus doesn't seem like a really big change for someone reason. Under the hood they both are the same thing, apart from cultus being faster and a bit more spacious. Would people agree?

    Here is the Answer to all your questions:
    - Which car is superior?
    Liana is much more superior. Liana built in 2002 and cultus in 1989
    - Offers cheaper maintainance?
    Cultus due to its cheap parts and easy mantainance
    - Good to drive?
    Liana for sure.
    - Reliability?
    This is the most controversial thing. But for me Liana is very relaible mine never heated up or any other issue.
    - Luxury/Space etc?
    Certainly Liana for it 416L boot which is even Larger than civic 350l and corollas 358l boots.
    - CNG milage?
    My liana did 220km on full on highway and 110km in city. Dont know about cultus
    - Overall recommendation of which one to buy (ignoring the price factor).
    Liana because its bigger much newer, safer, powerful and better to drive

    i own cultus 2008 efi and just 2 days back bought liana 2006 for a friend..which was his first car..as i have been driving it and solving its issue from last 2 days

    @which car is superior?

    --..its all based on your choice i would always say liana

    @Offers cheaper maintainance?

    ---Get 1 thing in your mind for sure.. ..when you want to buy the best you have to pay money according to its value

    so its simple ...cultus quality is pathetic as compare to Liana...

    When i bought my cultus .zero meter...had broken drum brake..broken window handle....huge gap between dashboard and side doors on 1 side.....and alot more

    thats the quality standard....rest parts of Liana are alost double then cultus

    @Good to drive?

    both are good..but comfort level is different....

    @Reliability?

    when you buy low price parts for sure their life is not to long...fo this Liana parts are on same level according to its class

    @Luxury/Space etc?

    @space for sure Liana has more

    @luxury...you must be kidding man.... oh if cupp holder and stuff is luxury then it has(lIana):p

    @CNG milage?

    cultus being equiped with power full engine and is efi so it do have good millage

    but If u dont visit stupid mechanics who will get CNG computer out of yr lian what we call Lambda in other efi car kits..and run it with its system...then it will give you same millage as cultus

    @for same price Liana is good option if you get a good 1..not altered by local mechanics for CNg setting and rest then its good..

    buy it for sure you will love it
