Lightbulb Strange Noise on starting of Cultus 2006

    Hi people,

Whenever, I switch on the cold engine of my car it gives a strange Chir Chir noise for a few mins untill the car engine gets hot. The noise also goes away when I push the clutch. Please help me and suggest me a solution.

    Thanks

Im not sure about Cultus but once I had a similar problem in my VTi when cold, as I press the clutch, sound finishes. I ended up in replacing the Clutch master bearing (Thrust Bearing) just outside the gearbox but for that gearbox need to be just uninstalled (not open) from the engine.

Brother thanks for your quick response. i strongly believe that your findings are right. The only confusion was that 1st Mechanic suggested to check the Gear Oil as the bearing must be running dry and the 2nd Mechanic suggested to change the bearing. I was afraid of opening the gearbox for this purpose.

^^ Put: Emirates Power Drive 4litres cann for rupees 1240 in Karachi. Cultus takes 3.5 ltrs only.

cause the engine of this car is not that advance to put such a advance oil in it.

Power Drive will give you charm drive plus a good price and quality.

    ^^
he is havin trouble with gear oil,not engine oil brov..
the zic sae 85 bottle for one liter is lyk 375...if its expensive,u can also try gulf gear oil.its lyk 220 per liter...ists imported BTW..
but make sure u put thin oil,sae 85 or less..sae 75 till sae 90 is best for khyber n cultus as its mentioned in mannaul!

gear oil need to b changed at 40000-60000 kms..though ppl tend to take it to limit n dont drain it unless it strts causing problems...
wen u change ur gear oil, just take a look on its color,it wud b tan balck...
so its better to change on time than to get in problems by extending the change..
40000 kms are already enuff, gear oil hardly costs 1000 rupees n tht too the best oil available..

Engine oil is not the issue in this case bro. Gear oil may be the issue though. And I own a new cultus too, just had done its first free inspection and its Gear box required 2.4 Litre of Gear oil and I poured ZIC Gear FF 75W/85 (API GL-4).
