Yes why not wont it work, it will infact save you some on fuel too and the hydraulic lifters will pump very quickly and stay pumped.
Diesel oil is high detergent oil as diesel engines create soot in their combustion, this oil traps it in itself and deposits it on the filter. It will massively help in the hydraulic lifter G10 engine the cultus is using.
Using thick oils in this engine is disaster as oil supply runs low on cold (its the garden water pipe thing, press on its end and you have high pressure going out but low volume, engine parts need a good volume of oil to stay working and cool. Secondly, overfilling the G10 engine will cause lifter problems as the crankcase blowby foams up the oil which causes cavitation, combine that with thick oil and you have overworked lifters as they try to compensate to their max on every cycle.
These are the two reasons suzuki recommends thin mineral oils in the crankcase with a fill capacity of between the dipstick marks.
