Thread: Cultus (Efi) Performance Upgrade

    Default Cultus (Efi) Performance Upgrade

    Dear PakWeelers,

    Recently i published a thread regarding cultus vxri performance mods, and with the help of senior members and their precious guidelines I have upgraded my ride. Details are :

    Cultus VXR i 2008
    Simota Air Intake
    Ultima 9.3mm Performance Plug Wires
    NGK G-Force Irridium ix Plugs
    Big 3 Stablization
    Headers 4-2-1 Setup
    2" Down Pipe Straight back to Muffler
    Vti's Bigger Sound Box in the middle
    Stock Muffler at the back (to Keep the sound low)
    CNG Sensor Cable Clip Removed for CNG responsiveness

    Still Looking for CNG breather Fillter

    After doing these mods, i myself couldn't believed that this was the same car, acceleration is awesome and top speed i went to 160 in 4th but road conditions didn't allow me to push further. Few rolling starts in traffic and smoked xli 2006, Vigo, Corrola X, Vitz in first 3 gears.

    Special thankx to Nabeel (Westridge), Dubai Autos (Shehryar) and Ustad Moodi at Jan Motors Commercial market.

    Thnkx to Jz and Turbo_charge for precious advices.

    Any more suggestions will be appreciated and or am i missing something in this setup.

    InshAllah very soon i will upload pics of engine bay, I am not a engine guru but i have drove variety of cars including V8 & V12 but cultus engine is excellent and responsive in 1000cc category, power to wait ratios etc. i am loving the performance in this kind of car

    Headers should have been 4-1 instead of 4-2-1. Change them and you will feel noticeable difference

    thnkx for ur suggestion mani1, plz explain thoroughly, the exhaust of 4 cylinders is merging in 2 inlets of 1.5" each pipe, then two pipes of 1.5" each is merging in 1 pipe of 2" all the way to muffler, how will be 4-1 will be better, plz explain and forgive if it sounds stupid

    One thing more i need to ask the gurus is that Is this the fastest i am gonna go in the cultus with stock engine, while i was in England, I have seen a small chips which are installed on cold air sensor, they say that this chip fools the ECU that cold rich air is coming and ECU enhances the flow of fuel etc and you can gain almost 12 HP. I have a website reference for this as well. Can i get hold of that chip in pakistan and will it be installed on cultus.

    4-1 on the g10b and most other engines helps improving the top end response (4-5k RPM) while 4-2-1 are known most for improving mid-range response (3k RPM). In any case, if you ask the experts at teamswift and redlinegti even they would recommend a 4-1.

    no offences to xli, vitz, Vigo drivers, mostly it depends on driver and shifting as well, may be a better driver can beat a rr as well on the GT road, yes murtazee i need more power if stage 1 mod is available. I am more interested in acceleration other than top speed and also i want to keep the car stock in stage 1.

    hahahah...not possible at all...12hp is good when talking on calculation ..but in real it will be very low


    and about that cold thingi...u fool yr engine.....and there r 100 of ways to do it.....but then yr engine is going to die

    better all u need to do is get some reference from net...alot of other piston can help....

    a chipped ecu with HC piston..will make it more then what stage 1 mods we do in pak

    well u r very right on....
    but this G10 with 4 cyl is the first engine which has very low end torque ....if u running in 4th gear under 2k rpm..it will take u hours to reach high

    best torque figures to my exp are after 5k.......its a high rev motor

    4-2-1 will help him good......4-1 is not good option for this engine


    and as far as old engine G10....yes they were very good in low end torque.....for them high speed is as an issue..and thats where 4-1 comes in

    i maybe wrong ..but tht my personal experience of keeping almost 3 G10s 2 high G motors

    though i love the sound of new efi when i rev it over 5k......better tapet sound then my Mk1

    guess what..suzuki in G series have always have 5th gear for eco....

    last time ali did 187 on new cultus..it was the 4th gear....when engine died...cuz did alot of times

    and my engine did 217km when shifted to 5th on G15....3rd gear was lock on 140km i think..till 200 4th gear was on top

    adding 5th will drop the acc

    Well u r right, the sound is very impressive, while car is idle or u r just cruising one cant tell if it was stock. Proper nice racing sound starts coming out of muffler after 4.5k.
