Default Cultus Power Steering

I want to convert my standard Cultus VXR standard steering into VXL power steering. Please tell me is it possible? Also, the power steering assembly will be available from Pak Suzuki or I can buy i from market as well? How much will it cost?

i've got a better advise for you, don't get the hydraulic conventional power steering, electronic one is cheaper and makes steering much softer then hydraulic one.
now a days, this electronic power steering is being used in all new cars like Vitz, Corolla, City, Civic.
electronic power steering is installed in the steering assembly inside the car, installation is very easy, and it is maintenance free as well.

Go for electric power steering instead of hydraulic power steering. Its just a little motor which will fit in your steering column and costs you 8k to 10k with fitting from bilal gunj.

Get EPS. Do not even make the mistake of Hydraulic power, it will give you nightmares when parking the car. Just stick with EPS, cheaper and better imo. Cost my friend about 7000rs a few months back.

I'll give you a piece of advice out of experience and logic too, DO NOT install the Alto EPS shaft on your standard steering rack - your original steering rack already geared higher for maximum leverage. The hydraulic rack is geared lower for more sharper steering response yet being power assisted.

Choose wisely, not everything is slap punch jugaarbaazi..

EPS could be a good solution if proper replacement/addition of all required parts have been done along with integration to ECU/Control Unit.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comCultus Power Steering - PAs some 1 stated above that Japanese Alto disables EPS after accelerating to 40KM/H so if installed on local Cultus or Alto steering may spin like hell on high speeds & is definitely dangerous.
To overcome this problem Some people have installed ON/OFF switch to give the Power to EPS according to requirements But still it’s a hassle & dangerous.
I m not sure but logically in original EPS setups Power to EPS motor must be controlled by analyzing both the vehicle's speed & RPM of the Engine
