    Exclamation Engine Swap for Cultus 2003

    Hi everyone!!

    I own a cultus 2003. The stock carburetor engine is too slow so i'm planning to swap it with a more powerful engine. But I want to keep using CNG. I've heard that a baleno 1.3 or 1.6 engine would be feasible but what other options do i have??

    I also request anyone having information on the suzuki G15 engine to come forward. How much would it cost etc..

    Thanks

    Well 50-55k seems fair enough. Actually the stock engine is really terrible, i've spent about 25k in the last year alone on engine repairs so thats why I wanna get rid of it. Where is the best place to buy a good g15 engine in rawalpinidi?? and btw does it have power steering or do i have to buy that seperately.

    and raania01 i've not flown F16s but i would love to do so, thats why i want my car to go fast

    Replacing engine with bigger one surely make the car faster but it has certain issues. The swap is not like change of brake pads or change of tyres, it in fact it is a complete change in engineering design of car which can cause several adverse effects resulted in much frequent trips to mechanic and much more maintenance cost. Shocks and suspension will also be effected due to increased load and even repairs/replacements will not bring your car to its original form.

    The resale will go down drastically as well. If your engine is weak, I would recommend selling the car and buying something with better engine. If the body is in really bad shape and resale is already low than go for engine swap and best of luck.

    If you wana go for bigger engine you will have to improve breaks aswell.Think about 1000cc EFI cultus engine more power and economy with compare to carb.BTW the steering is a compeletly diffrent part of the car, you will have to buy it seperately if you want power one.

    Well, its very difficulty to find cultus 1000cc efi engine in the market.
    one and half year ago i also want to exchange engine with 1300cc efi. But its price was 50,000 with complete package and same 1600cc engine price 40,000.
    But due to resale value issue i just repaired whole engine in 30k. Which is runing very well.

    best advise is sell this car, and buy a Balino or something in the same range after adding the money which you are going to spent on this cultus.

    with the change of engine you need to spend around 50 to 60K. no one will give you guarantee that you will get complete piece of mind after this.

    @Poster....

    I agree with @mzahid... u have to consider many things if u r planning to swap your engine but it doesn't means that engine swap is a bad idea. If u r not happy with your stock engine then its your right to go for a good swap.

    I think Baleno 1.3 will do the job in Cultus but I will suggest you to wait for some experienced members to guide you better on its technical aspects. All the best.

    budget required for this ''kaarastaani'' is about 50 to 60k max:p

    @OP
    G15a is a daily driveable engine with good fuel economy and can be used on CNG aswell.
    Engine mounts are almost same so it can be fitted in a Cultus with minor alterations.

    Get a dohc g13b. It is the jewel of suzukis crown. It is 115 hp stock and came in jdm cultus(swift).it has all kind of aftermarket mods supported. It has an aluminium block so weight will be a mere 10-15 kg more i think.
