    Default cultus fuel consumption problem

hello pakwheelers...this is haroon and i own a cultus 2006.well the problem is its a petrol guzzler....it drinks lot of petrol plus it gives lots of jerk on petrol.i got its carbeurator cleaned many times, got the fuel filter changed, got the fuel pump checked, got the spark plugs checked, also tried adjusting the distributor timing advance and retired too but of no vain.on cng the car is perfect.rite now the distributor is advanced to achieve good performance of gas.due the sheer loadshedding of gas, my car has to be driven on petrol atleast for 50 to 60km and to cover this it drink petrol of nearly 700rs.pls suggest me wht should i do in this regard.plus i have also placed my hand on the silencer exhaust tip and the smell of the exhaust doesnt feel good.the exhuast tip is clear i.e brown.pls suggest me wht should i do?i also took the car to enercon but that man is not atal co-operating.he always says that your car mixture is fine.should i get my car checked to sethi motors?

by the way what should be the fuel average of this car on petrol ???

i think efi or carb - distributor assembly needs some servicing.

i will see if i can get pictures of FAILED (hairline fractured aluminum casing at bottom) distributors of Cultus from a suzuki 3shop which they have been replacing quietly when customer is coming with warranty claim for high fuel consumption, abrupt stall, knocking issues. - a suzuki guy i picked from Port Qasim road sometime back, i did not spared him with so much questions i can remember from forum about cultus he shared the info as manufacturing defect in October 2009 to April batch of 2010 cultus.

To my surprise he said factory sends a circular letter to all 3s shops in Pakistan to RECALL the vehicles & replace the equipment and less then 10% cars are reported back. Pak Suzuki send out replacement from ware house by hand in 24 hours with examiner to recollect the exchanged part & damage that so only to be recycled.

wah wah 3 S wah you people have no sympathy to users.

no use of visiting Sethi motors etc.better run CNG or simply remove cng kit completely tht will help u improve the mixture n reduce some weight can giv it try in winters as we hav no cng in Lhr
660cc petrol efi engines are not exactly economical, as you would be lugging it real hard to get any sort of acceleration out of it. They are made for cars that never will see a highway or even a fast moving suburban road.

I know of this practice in Pakistan, but the problem is that the 3S people make fake documentation and other malpractices to dodge this, as returning cars would be occupying their mechanics time and workshop space for very low amount of money that would be reimbursed by the manufacturer.

i think that efi cultus is a chiken ****.no quality, no standard, no pick no change in shape 2000 to 2012.in 1000 cc cars santro is 100 times better than cultus.

I am another victim of cultus and now I have started using LPG on same kit and cylinder. Difference is that you can have a long drive of around 500 km with single filling.....No need to alter any adjustment. Mechanic will just incorporate the water inside your existing kits....all valves are already present.... gives a good mileage. starting is excellent than cng...Pick is better than petrol. Enjoy the cheap fuel.... all matter costs around 1500 Rs. If anyone interested can contact me at sulehri74@gmail.com I am in Lahore....I am not a mechanic but I know good mechanic for conversion

Pindi-Naran-Pindi (all surrounding places visited) Cultus Efi EuroII gavve fuel average of 14.56 km/l with five 80kg persons on board. Method of calculation was topping up and again topping up after drive.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?
