    helo friends , i am updating this thread as now its all complete , just want to show here what you can see in this thread as its a huge list so i am simly writing whats not in this thread ,,,,,,, , you can see every thing related to cultus except engine overhaulling , fuel tank/pump and some wiring related stuff , rest all you can get here ,

    How to check if PCV valve of carby cultus 2001 is working? I bought new one for 600 rupees from a parts shop. It had a different number written on it then the one that came out of my car. I just replaced it as part of preventive maintenance as when I bought it the car had done 88K on the odo and I assumed it hadn't been replaced since day 1.

    With all my lunge capacity I can not blow air from both sides. I sprayed wd-40 from both sides but it doesn't make it through to the other side. However when I remove the breather pipe from it while its bolted in the car and the car is start I can feel negative pressure (my finger being sucked if I place on its mouth) on high rpm but nothing considerable on idle. There is no tuk tuk sound coming from shaking it as is audible in Khyber pcv valve. Also there is very small amount of oil in the air filter box. I clean the filter box with cloth and after about a month's gap there is approx. 10ml of oil and after about 3 to 4 months the air filter gets too much oily / greyish and has to be replaced since dirt gets mixed with oil and cannot be blown away with pressurized air. Is this normal?

    Also I noticed the 3-way breather pipe that goes into the air filter box and pcv valve and is connected to the head cover, on a cold start I noticed faint whitish vapour coming out of it when I removed it from the air cleaner box.

    Engine is in great knock alhamdillulah, I poured three litters 10w-40 and it was exactly between the lower & upper mark on the dip stick and even after 2000km it is still at the same mark. I want to be super sure about pcv valve because as Xulfiqar said it can mess up the engine in the long run if not working. But at the same time I don't want to waste another 600 if this valve is fine. It has been about 12000 kilometers since I changed it. Also the 10ml of oil in filter box pisses me off and the fact that it turns my filter oily and greyish and since it makes it oil-wet the dirst sticks and cannot be blown away since it sticks to the filter in about 15000 kilomters. when the filter should last 25000 kilometers. I use pressure air on it about fortnightly to keep it clean.

    if your car had a green pcv valve, that was original. the ones available at parts shops are usually garbage (unless it came in sgp packaging, which costs around 850). it should be like a one way valve, you should be able to suck in from the manifold side and blow in from the end where the pipe mounts (very little air passes if you blow in)

    if your old one acts like this its good. just clean it. first spray some carb cleaner on the outer body of the valve. test to see if the plastic reacts. if it does, then you can not clean it with carb cleaner. \

    plenty of oil means bad pcv, a little oil is acceptable though.

    khyber pcv uses a steel ball bearing check valve. this one is all plastic so it doesn't sound like that

    I guess Baleno b13bb is a good option. 16 valve 75 hp. Bolt on.
