    Default Cultus 2008 Petrol Consumption

    Aoa.

I have a Cultus 2008 VXRi. Due to the current CNG crisis car has been running on Petrol. Got tank full from Caltex G-5. Drove car in city for a few days and then got tank full again from Caltex F-6.

The consumption came out to be 14.4 kmpl. I think thats pretty good for a four year old car mostly driven on CNG.

I know I will be scrutenized for this but what can be done to make it better(if possible). All maintainence work is always done on time and engine is in perfect condition. The Air flow blockage hasnt been removed. I did intend to remove it but it'll have to be cut out and this step cant be reversed in the future so i didnt take that step. Need some advice on that. How much of an affect will that have on the consumption?

By removing air blockage you can improve fuel economy by 1.5 kms/litre,but on cng you will get in trouble, like engine stall at idle speed or while pressing clutch for gear change.
Never loose hope in life, every step gives u something.
