    Default Cultus 2001 - things to change

    Hi,

    i bought cultus few days back. working fine, but i want to change things / parts as time passes so that it wont give me trouble at 1 point. Can you please guide me that which parts should i change first. i dont think it needs over hauling but still i want to change atleast basic parts which could increase pick + mileage.

    I have already changed oil filter + air filter. Engine oil changed as well. Please guide.

    Thanks

    at this point, its best to raise the car on a lift and use a big rod and check the ball joints and tie rods for wear, also check the rubber bushings, if they are worn - its about time to replace them all.

    Drain the rust water cooling system and fill with proper coolant,

    drain and replace the transmission oil.

    replace the brake rubber pipes (they are a 6 to 8 year item anyway) and flush with new brake oil.

    treat rust spots (if any) and drive it.

    @Xulfiqar bhai

    to be exact i want to know

    1) what is ball joints called in mechenical term (ustad ki zuban)
    2) Where is rubber bushing and what would be the term?
    3) rust water cooling system (do you mean radiator?)
    4) Brake rubber pipes (what should i tell mechenic about it?)

    1 more thing, the car is power, so should i replace some oil which is related to power steering ? or is it ok?

    last but not least. There is rust on some parts of the car, Should i treat it right away or should i wait for complete denting?

    Thanks in advance

    ball joint = baal jaaint
    tie rod = taaye raad
    bushings = bush
    brake rubber pipe = veel sylinder rubbud paip
    rust water cooling system = clean radiator and engine then fill coolant.

    for body rust - best to stop it NOW - if you wait for anything, its a cancer that will eat your car's metal in no time.

    Dear HDIP office is in gulshan ravi, charges are about 500 Rs., will take 2~3 days for test...
    if cylinder if OK, then it would be handed over to you, other wise you will receive your cylinder with its head cut. i.e. you wont be able to re use it...
