sometimes its just a little setting on the knob on the kit(usually used for fine tunning idle on cng)
my car behaves the same if the setting goes out.starting trouble
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

Suzuki cultus uses hydraulic tappet lifters, they are self adjusting and require very thin oil (5w-30) otherwise you will have a jammed up engine!
