Default knocking on petrol: cultus 2006, non-efi

My cultus 2006, non-efi makes a lot of knocking while accelerating on petrol. I dont often run it on petrol but CNG. Its very smooth on CNG without any trouble. I have installed new spark plugs. Does it need tuning only or i should ask anything specific to my mechanic to check?

Install a STAP (timing advancer) STAP00b. That will retard timing on Petrol and advance on CNG.

Probably your mechanic has adjusted the timing for CNG. This is typical timing issue

Yes he said he did tunning on cng so thats y its knocking on petrol. I dnt drive much on petrol as its giving excellent mileage on cng. I just drive 10 to 15 km per week on petrol to avoid lines being choked. :-)
