    Default Cultus 2011 sluggish response

    Hello Pakwheelers!!

I need a solution for a problem am facing for the last one month. I own a Cultus 2011 model 100k driven. I normally travel between Peshawar-Islamabad. Almost a month back I went to Enercon at G-10, Islamabad for tuning although I was not facing any problem with my car and was getting a very good average on fuel (both CNG and Petrol). I changed the plugs (NGK) as well as air filter along with tuning. After tuning, its response got sluggish (do not go more than 110-120). I went back to Peshawar and got my car tuned as I thought the Enercon guy has messed up up tuning adjustments. I got my car tuned 7-8 times in the last one month (2-3 times from Suzuki and rest from others renowned) but still the problem persists. In all this time I got my cars clutch plate checked from 2-3 places and it has no problem. Cleaned the throttle body as actuator was jammed but still no improvement in car speed and adjusting tappets as well. It is to mention here that at 97k driven I went 170 on petrol and car used to cruise at 150-160 on CNG as well. I don?t know what and where something went wrong with just tuning adjustments. It is worth mentioning here that the car is now too heavy on fuel as well (both CNG and petrol).

Thanks in advance to all of you.

Change the plug wires if you haven't yet. The major symptoms of weak wires are jerks on steady acceleration, loss of acceleration and engine takes time to start. Get the injectors cleaned. Dirty injectors can cause troubles. Take your car to a good electrician and ask him to check its wiring. If after doing everything, you are still not able to achieve the desired results, admit it then that your car engine has gone weak.

One issue happened with my car was that the Distributor itself was not working properly! my mechanic said it was not not creating some vaccum which he checked by suck air through the distributors vaccum pipe! after the distributor was changed the problem was solved!

and get urself some 3 Point plugs for better performance and mileage

Thanks Omer for the valuable information. After the eid leaves, ill definitely check all these things. I think plug wires are the black sheep around.
