    Default Cultus: Vibration

    Hello

My cultus has vibration in body.

    1. Changed Steering assembly (kanghi).
    2. Both front bearings changed.
    3. Both front hubs changed (because 2 didnt work)

Still vibration is there. What could be the reason. Tired of going to the mistry.

Edit: Wheels are aligned. No vibration on Brakes.

Thanks for the reply. The vibration starts occuring on speed. Not on braking.
On speed of 10 or so, there is a goonj in the cabin like a bad bearing.
When I speed up, the goonj disappears but the engine sounds like its being run on very old oil.
    Very loud.

I've been suffering from vibrating issues since a long time, but finally its solved now.
I'll just give a summary, might help you!

    btw get your suspensions checked.

my cultus vibrated a bit at low speed but then, while gaining speed it got stable
but after 100 it vibrated like hell, everything shook.
As led by mechanics, i got my suspension and steering bushes, boots etc changed and re-done from a "kharaadia".
but it was now use. (Still get them checked in your case)

Anyways, later a mechanic finally diagnosed the problem. The car had alloy rims, made in karachi and adding fuel to fire, those rims were altered and did not set perfectly, which was dangerous too. I changed the rims and now have original cultus steel rims.

another issue which is not noticeable at the moment, the tyres are re-done too and are not very smooth and leveled. get them checked from a tyre wala too.

    @moti_daku

Its exactly what is happening to me. At 20 speed, there is a vibration which lessens with speed but at 120, it shakes the car violently.
can you give me number of your kharadia and give your reference.

If tyres are not retreaded properly they are a hazard and get you killed...always go for new tyres because retreading done in a poor facility will always lead to poor quality tyres.

i got that work done from G-10, and it was my first time, i don't know the kharadia. I would suggest to get it done from some reputable kharadia in pindi as it'll cost less probably.

and a mechanic which diagnosed the issue in rims ( not in isb/pindi) said that this specific issue usually occurs because of wheels, so do get the rims and tyres checked at first priority.

Taken to my tyre wala and he said rest is all fine, its the tyre problem. Tyres are dry and need changing, I have run them around 55KM in 3 years.

But do dry or spent tyres produce goonj? I am not convinced.

Took the car to a very good mechanic in Sultan Khoo.
He took try on it on the Airport adjacent road and told me that there is bearing now which I already knew.
So he brought it back to to the shop and started car and with handbrake on and one front wheel on jack, started engine and put in gear. One wheel spun and he tested its noise level. Did the same with the other front tyre.
He manually spun rear wheels and checked them as well.

GUESS WHAT? there is no noise in bearings.

One tyre is wobbly and one tyre is damaged.

This is second opinion in that day. Still I went to a tyre shop and asked him rate and adjust these ones in price. He told two tyres are ok and two not. So it seems that the problem is with tyres.

How can tyres go bad at 53K Km. Shouldnt they go like 70K or something. They are Bellagio tyres (19K for 4 back in 2012) which are malaysian or **** knows what. They have been run 95% on expressway.

I am now in market for a brand new set of tyres. Please give me suggestions. I wanna go branded. Do things right.

Go to Saddar, Bhaomahala, there is an alley on the right(in the middle of the tire shops, there are more tire shops in the alley.) go to Asad Tires, get yokohama.

Call Asad Tyres. Asked Cultus for Yokohama.

    "Cultus ke Yokohama nahi hain."

    Dead tone.

He is a nice fellow, I have been going to him for a long time. Ask him what tires he has to offer you for a cultus and the best that are available. He might be short on them or maybe they don't make them in that size anymore. Khair, it's up to you, I take all my vehicles to him and have no complaints so far. The rest sir is your decision 😊

Just talked to him, he has michelin for cultus, 5500 a tire. A lower quality Dunlop for 4200 and Chinese tires for 4000. The Dunlop one is an average tire and the Michelin one is something that will last for a long long time
