Default Is getting a new CULTUS at this stage a good idea?

I heard CULTUS is being discontinued w.e.f from December 2015 i.e Suzuki will no longer produce it. My question here is will this affect the resale value of any zero meter CULTUS purchased now or the older models?

according to market situation your cultus will not be affected with low resale thing, you cant expect anything nice from suzuki as there are rumors they going to launch celerio here and i assure you it will be junk same as the wagon R. Choice is all yours i would suggest you to buy whatever you wanted to buy because you are buying a car for your self not for resale purpose.

I am concerned about resale because whatever I buy would be with me for 1-2 years only. After that I plan to change to another better car. A new car will have no visits to mechanic that's why I thought go for zero meter but resale?

Why that happens ? If CULTUS discontinues why would someone buy a 2014-2015 cultus for roughly 9.5 lac when they can buy wagon R or whatever is coming in replacement of cultus for almost similar bucks. I somehow do not get this

If you are so concerned about resale and the end of Production. why not buy a wagon R, get it some wider wheels and use it. Thats a better buy then the cultus these days. And since wagon R is a fresh launch as compared to cultus which was launched a decade ago, its more trouble free.

I really feel sorry for people who even think of buying brand new cultus. I mean how come some one can pay his/her hard earned money nd that too over a million on a box called cultus when u have a better buy wagonR. I know it have horrible exterior but come on man comparing it to cultus it have realy nice nd non rattling interior with power windows, power steering, immobiliser, better breaks then that box on wheels aka cultus nd a K series engine and nd looks like a new thing on earth.
Of all these things including several others r no where near to cultus:/ even exterior of wagonR can also b enhanced to a better looking thing by just some cosmatic/visual mods. When it comes to resale wagonR is also capturing marlet day by day and resale isnt An issue either
i mean there is no point in buying a brand new cultus.

First of all, although it should but Cultus is not likely to be discontinued. I have been hearing since ages that Cultus will be discontinued. Remember Paksuzuki in unopposed in the small car market and they are not subject to any safety, modern emission, or technology transfer regulation.

Cultus has higher sales than swift and wagon r combined and is highly profitable.

Only way suzuki will release a newer model car is if government regulations are put in place that implement safety standards. As in that case this car will have to replaced as it does not meet any international safety or quality standard.

However, unless they discontinue it, they wont see increase in Wagon R sales or whatever they bring in place of cultus (reportedly celerio)

Me even though being the biggest hater of WR will also recommend buying a WR over cultus as cultus is a decade old tech with 4 wheels and a steering attached. I don't recommend WR either but it surely is better than Craptus

i dont know why people under estimate cultus specially the new one euro one .I have both 8th and 9th gen civics and i had 2013 cultus which ive sold and got a vitz .i know many will say whats wrong with me but i missed my cultus so much that ive got an new one and here's the funny part it's the same color as the previous one .now here's why i preferred it over the other cars

1st it has an awsome fuel avg give easily with proper tunning 18 plus in long and 16 in city and that too with ac .

2nd love the road grip .

3rd has good both seating and leg room

4.spare part is usually cheap not that ive needed it .

and the best part is it's resale i ve sold mine 2013 cultus with 12k on odo in an hour or so and got what ive asked for and that was 1015 k .

so dont worry about the dis continue i doubt that suzuki people will dis continue their no.1 selling product maybe they will upgrade it as i was told when ive bought mine the owner of the showroom said they will launch a new version of it with power steering and power windows ..

In a nutshell, if you want the automotive industry to progress, steer clear of the Cultus. It may look tempting, but take a test drive of the WR from a friend or something, you'll feel the difference.

Really nice experience u have but i drove one 2014 suzuki mentained from lahore to isb thn in isb for 2 days thn from isb to lahore and i mean its a trash it have really weird steering position to stab on chest nd litrally no road grip it have, it drive like its floating on water. It gave me around 12 kmpl with 100%ac in pindi isb nd 14 kmpl with 100%c on long (im a hyper miller). I mean my honda gives me these figures. Nd to some xtend It only had better resale. When ever i see a new cultus m like moment of silent for " wachari saadi qoam "

Cultus is too expensive.it is a good car but no value for money now as 10.4 lacs is a lot of amount for a car with a decade old engine technology and still u don't get a power steering.I Also used to dislike wagon r but after driving it i had to change my view as it is very quiet yet responsive and Ac is a lot better than cultus.one of my main reasons of hating wagon r was that it was hell expensive when it was launched but after the price has been slashed it is a better option than cultus by all means

IMO if cultus discontinued and whichever car replace cultus, the price of new replaced car (May be celerio) will not be less than 1.2 million. Pak Suzuki will not let die WagonR.
So the expected price range will be
    WagonR 1million
    Celerio 1.2 million
    Swift 1.3-1.4 million
So new entrant car price will be in between wagonR and swift

So now Suzuki is re-introducing CULTUS, does this slash down resale value of old models like 2010, 2011 etc?
