Default My Suzuki Cultus VXL 2005 snatched on Gun-Point…

    Dear Friends,

I am sharing with you a very bad news... My
    Suzuki Cultus VXL
(white) , 2005 make (upgraded to crystal lights / new grill + 1 week old Landi Renzo CNG kit) having
    Regd. No. AHZ-905
has been snatched on gun-point from North Nazimabad area on 1st day of Ramazan.

    Details:
My mother was sitting in the car in market area and my driver has gone to buy curd at 5:30 pm (sometime before Afta’ar). The car was in start mode as the A.C was on. Two persons on a motorcycle came and asked my mother in Sindhi accent to get out of car by showing a pistol… In short, they took the car and flew away.

My father immediately went to report the case to the Police Station and I start trying to make a call to 15, CPLC, ACLC and GEO (they have a service for the reporting of cars/mobiles theft) but I was surprised to see that from 5:45 pm till 120 midnight, nobody received the phone on 15, CPLC (5682222-5683333), ACLC and GEO.

The car had a comprehensive insurance from
    EFU
but no SECURITY SYSTEM (a mistake on my part).

    Well, jo hua so guzra… Allah aur dega... My request to you people is that;

    1. Never sit in car uselessly when you are out of home.
    2. Install a security system in your car.
    3. Do not “resist” and give all what you have to the snatchers as nothing is precious than our life.
    4. Recite the Dua’-e-Safr when you start your journey.

    The insurance, after atleast 4 months period, will give me around Rs. 500,000 (still undecided) while on the other hand, I incurred following expenses totalling to an amount of Rs. 735,000;

    1. Control Price: Rs. 604,000
    2. Own Money: Rs. 65,000
    3. Registration: Rs. 15,000 (choice number)
    3. Dunlop Tyres: Rs. 10,000
    4. Pioneer Carozzer’ia Deck: Rs. 7,000
    5. Amplifier: Rs. 3,500
    6. Kenwood 718 speakers: Rs. 4,400
    7. One week old Landi Renzo kit: Rs. 23,500
    6. Seat Covers: Rs. 3,000

Total Expenses: Rs. 735,400 (while the insurance will pay Rs. 500,000 i.e. a loss of Rs. 235,000 in 14 months)

Besides, a loss of Nokia phone having woth of Rs. 18,800. Moreover, some important documents of my mother (she was on the way back from her office) and all of our cheque books / deposit books.

Dear brothers, the crime-rate in our Karachi city is very high, so, be careful all the time untill you reach your homes.

I wish you all the best of health, wealth and luck.

    Regards,

    S. Nasir Raza Zaidi

My friends Cuore was theft from Saddar area main Zainab Market parking. I after hard tries when my friend failed to connect, called CPCL & ACLC and launched the report influenced my position at Army.

Police and ACLC, DO NOTHING. we tried some sources and found the car. It was run by one the sector incharges of LANDHI. (All in Khi knows the meaning of Sector Incharge-Bhai Log). The said sector incharge demanded 400,000 to return the car. But then we left it with him, as maybe the car had been used in some other crime as well. Then what happened is a long story. BUT

    -Police DO NOTHING,
-ACLC having vehicle theft control checks, DO NOTHING. AS they are involved in sharing the money of stolen vehicle after parts sold.
-CPLC just to file record that the vehicle is theft. But if only for those who went to get transfered. Not for those who keep running the stolen vehicle without docs.

    MEASURES:
1-To keep yurself safe. Have a GUN with u..Shoot the jackers on spot without start talking to resist.
2-If u r given a side by motorcyclists, Just do hit em instead stopping the vehicle.
3-Hit any footpath nearby. This will gather people around.Vehicle may damage BUT safe overall

Other suggestions, are also still valid i.e NOT to sit in car, Install precautionary security systems etc

It is indeed very sad. Unfortunately, this city is like that since long time where government and law enforcement agencies are the guardians of such crime. I hope by now your snatched car has been reported.

May I suggest you if you have any friend or relative in MQM, with him pay a visit to Nine-Zero (90) the head quarter of MQM, and make a report to them. They might charge you some money after recovering your car. Unfortunately, such crimes taken place in Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, F.B.Area and Liaquatabad, are done by local people (I don't want to name them). Similar incident happen with my friend about a year ago and his car Corolla '88 model has been recovered by them after paying them 60,000/- rupees. But he isn't "helpless" citizen like me, his brother is known of Rauf Siddiqui (ex- provincial interior minister).

I pray ALLAH that your car will recover soon and in same good condition. Do some sadiqa for your car and for your mother safety.

May ALLAH keep all of us safe! (Aameen)

Very sorry to hear this. It's really easy to say 'let go anything they ask for' but in reality it's very very difficult to give away something that is hard earned.

I can only pray for you that may Allah give you a good replacement and may Allah save us from this terrorism going around our city.

Please accept my heart felt sympathies @Nasir_Zaidi. Do consider what @aomair has said however. He is absolutely right. Back in 1996 my elder brother's Nissan was snatched at gunpoint right in front of our home in Nazimabad.

My brother apart from registering an FIR, went to Azizabad 90. We got his car back on the 4th day. No charges though, as one of the guys whom my brother met turned out to be a child-hood friend of mine.

Consider installing the C_Tracker service in the future. One of it's packeges cost around 30K first time and then 10K per anum.

I plan to install the C-Tracker package that I have mentioned in my previous post, in my Cultus VXL 2006 (due in November 2006). This way the insurance people won't give me much grief if something un-towards does happen.

The possiblity of such things happening is far greater here in Karachi than any other city in Pakistan.

One of my relative's suzuki bolan with cng was stolen recently. They tried the police which were as useful as a (MODE EDIT/MIND YOUR LANGUAGE). Someone advised to approach this MQM high-up, which they did, and the car was recovered in 4 days, minus the CNG. So give that a try if u can.

Very sad to hear about your car..... May Allah gives you courage to recover from this..
but keeping a gun in the car or trying to resist against these criminals is not a good idea....

SAD. The city has gone to dogs.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.
