    Default Distributor cap

    Hi,

I have a missed part in the distributor cap which is marked with the red circle, what is this part ? can it be a reason for a bad mileage ?

    Thanks.

Always mention the car, model and engine in it for such questions.

An elbow shape rubber tube facing its open end downwards will do the job. Leaving it open will allow water to get in.
