Default Two questions about AC and coolant

I have noticed following issues on my car:
    1. When I start AC I hear a whistle in my car. I believe it could be a belt problem say loosing or need a replacement.

    2. Do you guys use any coolant in ur car or just a plain water? I have never used coolant b4 but now I feel that the water seems quite rusty so I need ur advise.

    Thanks bros.

    which car do you own.
Money differs from an automobile or mistress in being equally important to those who have it and those who do not.

The ones which came from factory with cultus are mitsuba ones.... I think the spellings are like this..
In market you can find bando and mitsuba easily... Otherwise go to suzuki 3s.

So there must be some rust deposits present in the system by now..

REMOVE TSTAT VALVE BEFORE USING ANY SORT OF FLUSHING TECHNIQUE..

Previously de-rust the system using citric acid flush method..
Then neutralize the effect of acid by using baking soda.
After that check for leaks. If the system is heavily rusted then be prepared to fix the leaks which may pop out.
Use good coolant like Caltex, Toyota, Honda, ZIC... All are good..
Caltex, Toyota and Honda coolants are long life coolants so using these would be good atleast for 5 years use...
ZIC coolant works good for 2 years it comes pre-diluted..

If you don't want to spend much money then take guard coolant and use that for maximum of a year not more than that..

I drained out the rusty water few weeks ago through mechanic and he said water is not that rusty. But I feel that I need to drain out the water again. Do I need to use pour coolant only with out a single drop of water???

Depends onn which coolant you are going to use...
If its written ready to use or pre-diluted then you do not need to pour in water with that.
If its concentrate then you should mix it with distilled water not the tap water. Usually concentrates are to be mixed in a 50 50 ratio...
50 parts concentrate and 50 parts distilled water.

Yes, you can use the water from air conditioner but that's not distilled water.. It has some bacteria present. But no worries its still much better than tap water.
