    Default Cultus RPM when the engine is idle & gear nuetral

    @Guys

    Can anyone tell me where the rpm needle, in a cultus, should be when the Car is standing idle at nuetral. Mine always remains at 1000rpm.

    If this is wrong, then what is the remedy.

    Should be around 800 if the engine is hot, and when radiator fan an lights are off

    To reduce engine RPM at idling there is a white plastic screw with a big head under the air filter on the back side of the carburetor turn it anti clock wise

    there is another adjustment which races up the engine when u turn on the head/parking lights

    when u reduce idling RPM this will also require adjustment if u feel that RPM drop whenever u turn on the lights

    u can find that adjustment by turning on the head lights while looking at the carburetor there will be few lever movements restricted by the adjustment screw with white glue on it

    @nascar bhai,

    Mine is only 15 days old cultus. The issues of radiator fan not working is not the case. If everything is ideal, then what should be the RPM level at idle time?

    My vehicle is VXL non CNG.

    The Idle RPM W/O AC is 1000 RPM and with AC it is slightly over that i.e. approx. 1200 or 1300 RPM.

    Bhai @robin I will take your advice and wait till my free inspection.

    Thanks guys.

    sorry i meant when radiator fan is not on

    when u start the cold engine the automatic choke will take effect and rpm will be above 1000

    when the engine heats up the RPM should drop to around 800-850

    when ever u turn on the a/c rpm will rise to above 1000

    when u turn on the lights they would ideally should be around the 800-850 level but they would vary slightly

    rpm above 1000 are usually sign of bad adjustments
