    Default CULTUS vs SANTRO

    Salam to all the PAKWHEELERS.

    Today I hav some street racing stuff with me to share with u all. It was safe for sure because it was late yesterday nite and the place is ISB HIGHWAY. Its from ISB to RWP.

    I have SANTRO CLUB GV. I did unorganized RACE with COURE, ALTO, AUTO VITZ and MANUAL VITZ and did organize RACE with AUTO VITZ and COURE with some SPECIAL SPARK PLUGS on it. It was just to TEST the car on CNG and nothing else. But I had never experience of SUZUKI CULTUS personally.

    I heard from PW members that CULTUS can’t beat SANTRO but from those who OWNS CULTUS, they claims that CULTUS has got UPPER HAND as its TOP SPEED is 200 and SANTRO has only 180 KM.

    Now coming to the point, when coming back from BLUE AREA, a CULTUS guy passes me in a VERY HIGH speed as there was no TRAFFIC at all at that time. Luckily the SIGNAL before ZERO POINT was RED and he stops there, so as I. Now my car was parallel to the CULTUS and the driver of CULTUS was in AGGRESSIVE mood also. He was revving the engine constantly very hard and wants to turn it on. I was also interested as I never did DRAG with CULTUS before.

    Now the SIGNAL turns into GREEN, we started our cars FURIOUSLY. CULTUS remains PARALLEL to SANTRO at first gear and it also did well on 2nd GEAR but reaching at HIGH RPM on 2nd gear, the distance b/w the cars gradually starts creating. And it was SANTRO who stays ahead and remains ahead form its direct RIVAL which we consider.


    Well it is the interesting one for me atleast . It is not as 2.0D SALOON vs MAZDA RX-8. Now what u all says about it ???

    dude no one can tell which car is better

    mark my words

    In each category(at least in pakistan in 1000cc, 1300cc and 1600cc categories) each car is equal when it comes to performance

    What makes each car different in performance is

    1)Engine
    2)Driver

    By engine I mean
    1)engine kitna khula hoa hai
    2)Koi mods/tweaks etc

    By driver I mean
    1)Does he knows how to shift?
    2)Itna pani hai kay traffic mein drag ya cutting kar sakay?

    Come to lahore
    Ill show u a stock cultus which will lose to most 1000cc cars by a margin of more than 3/4 cars and then Ill show u another stock cultus which will beat the same 'other 1000cc cars' by a margin of 1/2 cars
    Both cars are driven round about 40,000 km and were bought togather and I am the owner

    The difference is only due to the fact that dosri cultus ka engine zada khula hoa hai

    Now if happen to bring ur santro to lahore mein aap ki race karwa doon ga cultus say jo aao ko more than 4 cars ka gap day ge. That does not means that cultus is a better car than a santro. And when u won form a cultus that also does not means that santro is a better car than cultus

    many people have modded their santros
    many people have modded their cultuses

    both cars are at par

    i don't know about the engine of CULTUS but i m dam sure about the driver that the revving of the engine and how he started accelerating represents that he droves his car into the EXTREME so as i did.

    1. He really knows how to shift as because i saw the scene when he was shifting parallel to me.

    2. I already mentioned that there was a nite time and no traffic was there at all. All the road was empty from the front. It is the main reason i started it too.

    He remains on his track and i remains on my track. We didn't even change the lanes.

    And to tell u the truth, i m not a good driver at all, because i started to learn dirving back in march this year.
    And u can judge urself about my driving.

    In short I am sure aap nay us cultus ko haraya ho ga lekin that does not means that a santro can beat a cultus
    idher Ive personally won from many santros but that does not means that cultus is better than santro.

    Infact what all this means is that your santro is better than the other guys cultus

    You can not apply your race result to every other cultus in pakistan

    Ur offer of invitation is useless. I m not a professional RACER ( if i m a PROFESSIONAL RACER then i must hav atleast H22, b16a, b18c or 20V installed in my ride).

    I did it at ISLAMABAD HIGHWAY. Actually the place was out of residential area and i never ever seen any body to cross the road there. And also it doesn't makes any sense to cross the road over there.

    And YES u hav got some valid reason that the engine of CULTUS was not in a good condition.

    Listen to me now. I forgot it earlier. The Cultus which was present in my case is the NEW ONE. As it has got new REGISTRATION NUMBER along with the SPEEDOMETER which has ORANGE backlighting and TACHOMETER was also present.

    It is exactly the same which u can find here.

    @u4usman4u bhai,

    Judging cars by their pick and racing characteristics alone, and that too 1000cc cars, is not a proper comparison in my opnion.

    Pick is just one of the aspects of a car's overall performance and utility.

    The more one gets seasoned and matured with age, one begins to realize that it is not even a very important performance feature for a town car.

    according to my experience, cultus has tall gear ratios but less pick. santro is mpfi and has technical advantage over cultus. santro is better in performance.

    Its on GV. And believe me its performance is really good on GV. Thats may be of EFi.

    @aliyusuf

    By the way when it comes to GV only there is a single decent option available in PAKISTAN i.e SANTRO which has got TRUNK SPACE along with 3 mini CNG CYLINDERS on it.

    That pathetic cultus would be also on CNG.

    i hope now you won't argue that it was on petrol and you were on GV mode.

    I never did mention or assume that the CULTUS was on PETROL. X(

    U can see the whole forum. Thats all i can say.

    I think above 90% of cars under 1000 CC on the roads of PAKISTAN r on CNG.

    cultus and santro have no comparison.
    since cultus is a suzuki make and i dont believe on suzuki's anymore, they r rotten from the root!!

    today i got cultus 2006 on rent, i just came home.
    also drove alto today, both for the first time.
    now i can give some comments over them
    i have got cultus for 10 days on rent, so will give complete review on it later.

    Have Suzuki and Hyundai ever announced that these cars are for racing?

    Here, people drive their poor CG125 considering it to be some Superbikes...

    well here is the flaud in the cultus drivers technique as iu say he shifted with u thats the most stupid thign to do .. every car has its own gear ratios and has to drien according to it santro has very short and cultus has very tall .ie cultus goes almost 52 in first gear touch redlien at 6500rpm and around 90 in scond hwere as a santro is almost at redline at 70 in second gear maybe 75 so here u go the cultus driver didnt drive well.. and the other persons point is very true it all depends how u have maintained ur car and its engien kitna khula hau hai .. i have raced with a stock santro many times and its tough only till 80 after cultus gets in third it has a LITTLE edge over almot 3/4 car .. keeping driving constant
