    Default New EFI Cultus with 16 Valve Engine

    Today i visited Suzuki Olympia motors and i was very surprised to see new Cultus VXRi. and it was really amazing to see that this cultus have 1.0 16 Valve EFi engine..

    Now this machine would definately be fast and furious in 1.0 category

    The interior is also changed with new cd player.

    saw threee cars on road in last two days,
    but wasn,t able to hear the engine sound.
    was looking good.

    I bouhgt it and have driven it almost for 1,100 kms. Comparing from the older one( i have 2005 one too), the engine, with no doubt i can term it as superb, is the only thing that is good in it:pick up is good and you can really feel the power beneath you. As far as the manufacturing and assembling of other parts is concerned, i have no words to desribe my anguish for the Pak Suzuki people. The quality has gone down. And the rattling started the day i drove it home. I hope it does not give me any real problem! I think the driving seat and its posture has been improved, because i get a really comfortable drive. The thing i love about it is its metallic engine sound.

    bought a black vxr (i) about a month ago. have travelled almost 7k on the odo kilometers. so far so gud. at first i wz really depressed by the new shorter ratio gears. after a couple of days i realised its not that bad at all. got used to it pretty soon. im not gonna brag bout the drags i`ve been testing on it with friends coz results vary in terms of words from others. as far as mileage is concerned its giving me 135kms on one cng cylinder full. i`ve got 15" wheels with 195/50R yokohama S drive.

    the one in my office with standard tires covers around 155 kms same amount of cng.

    honestly have not been able to check the mileage on petrol.

    i dont like the air conditioning, but then its the same case with all the 1000 cc cars,

    Folks

    I have checked all the engines of suzuki in details, it appears they have also done the same thing which HONDA did.

    As an engineer myself, and worked in niussan, fiat, for years, it is not possible to change a 1.3L engine to 1.0 or 1.1L.

    the engine in new cultus no doubt is 16 valve, but it is 1.2 or 1.3, they have instead tried to label it as 1.0 and prepaired the landing invoiuce with 1.0L ENGINE, they all come as cbu, and to save tax, and earn more money, and make the car sellable, they are have changed the label, honda city is 1.4L, the 2009 model, but they labelled it in invoice as 1.3 to save the custom duty on cbu, I have got it confirmed from my freinds in custom intelligence, and they have confirmed what Honda has done, and now suzuki is doing the same. Now, suzuki also mentioned the specs of cultus as of 1.0L to cover up what they have done, otherwise no matter if they had changed the capacity tag on the import invoice, to make it more authentic, they mentioned the wrong specs, otherwise they would have been caught if they mentioned the specs of 1.3...that is why this car ius so expensive due to engine, it is not 1.0L engine....not at all..and they have imported this engine from china.

    is there anybody who has driven this new 16 valve engine cultus, what is the maximum speed this car can attain or has attain, is it possible to take it to 170, or 180km

    please tell me.......and how are the brakes of this new cultus? can we replace the brake booster with that of baleno, same to same fitting?

    ^^dear 16 valve cultus can go up 2 150 as i have taken ds up 2 150 vd 3 pessengers....beyond ds i dn thnk so.....

    Breaks r nt gud.....

    Dear Bro Cultus is not a good car in terms of performance and reliability, Alto or Dicontinued khyber are still the best cars in 1000CC range. When it comes to acceleration Alto or a khyber can easily beat this shitty beast. This is not an offense but what i am speaking here are just facts.

    well frankly I dont agree that Alto or Khyber can match Cultus. Khyber might have some advantages over Cultus but for me Alto is the worst car. I dont know if any one can start the car on CNG in winters. Even if they do can they run it without warming up the engine to the optimum

    i own 1 of it..havent took over 150km

    brakes r not very good..but car is stable

    can touch 170km/h or something

    i got vxli without cng... no doubt its quick. pickup is good too, and ya after changing the stock tyre m happy with the brake.


    about max speed i took it to 145/150 once
    I appreciate a good body regardless of the make

    Instead of buying this i prefer to buy Vitz.Vitz looks better,drives well,acceleration is great.But whatever else hidden in cultus's hood.Its definately not gonna able to smoke a 1.0 V.V.T-i engine of vitz.New cultus is also overpriced.Its price would be not more than 4 lakhs.Not a single airbag,pathetic quality.Sorry if anyone's hurt but the fact is fact.
